Wink Hey OSBC

The beds are used by friends of us & consist of a layer of perlite, a kind of fleece & then pure cocos.

I think there are aprox. 16 plants per square meter and their veg time is around 7-10 days.

The beds are watered 1-3 times per day by drip irrigation tubes buried below the coco surface.

Topping depends on strain & amount of plants per m2...the plants in the beds were not topped.

Fertilizer is a dutch brand coco product & yields can be as good as 1g/w.

Hi Hortilab,

Can you please explain the beds a little bit more ?

The Vermiculite is on the bottom layer ?

THe bed has a drain for runoff ?

What is the depth of Coco and what depth of Vermiculite is used ?

What depth is the coco watered at ?

Why bury the water hose ? Is it against fungus gnats or do you find coco works better with a drier top layer ?

Is this a method your friends have developed themselves, or is it a common Dutch method they are just repeating ?

Many thanks
c
