making my greenhouse smell proof

I was really wondering how i can make my greenhouse smellproof

first i thought a big extraction fan and filter

but when the sun shines i really doubt an exhaust could handle the heat better then the windows(with thermostat) and doors open.

SO how could i make it smellproof without overheating the shit out of the plants?

Everything should stay closed all the time

dimensions are 6 by 4 by 2 metres so like 48 kubic metres

It is really hard to make a GH truly smell proof-- But you can use a swamp cooler, with a scrubbed exhaust to "mostly" do it...but at night, with the swamper off...you will get some leakage--

Charcoal scubber with a fan mounted. It will clean the air in the greenhouse, not the air exhausted. Have had rooms go to 105 degrees with no fan failure. Peace GS

If your room hits 105 degrees you should think about some serious cooling.

If you need to exhaust greenhouse air to keep it cool I would run a fan mounted on a large scrubber and also have the exhaust fan ducted into a scrubber so it pulls or pushes air thru the scrubber.

You need it to be a sealed environment with some serious ventilation and scrubbers. It could be done but it will not be easy or cheap. However due to the small size it would be easier to do than most greenhouses. Have you considered an AC or other cooling unit? I think you are right - ventilation alone may not be enough to keep it cool.

It's not that difficult, you just have to have a very decent fan and carbon scrubber going 24/7. The key to keeping an area smell proof is to ensure that all air escaping the grow space goes through a filter (obvious right?).

So all you have to do is make sure that the room is under constant "vacuum" pressure. If the room is under vacuum pressure, then the only way for air to exit the environment is through the filter.

So here is what I would suggest, buy the nicest filter and fan you can afford (you will kick yourself in the nuts people discover your smelly garden all because you wanted to save a hundred bucks, be smart, over do your filter always) and put the fan on a fan dimmer thermostat. I apologize for not knowing the actual name of the device but they can be built. What you want is a fan that is ALWAYS running, this is achieve with the dimmer device. The Dimmer is set to the fans "idle" speed (the speed it will spin at when not trying to cool the room), the idle speed can be set to as low as it needs to be to keep the area under vacuum pressure (and this is where you will leave it and this level never needs to be adjusted unless you have new cracks/leaks etc in your walls). Then when the Environment heats up, the fan will trigger to 100% speed when a specific Temp is reached. Once it's cooled the environment it will revert back to it's idle speed.

Here is an example of such a device:

Hope that helps.

Wondering the same thing. Subbed.

So far I'm thinking bring fresh air under rivulet and up through drain in floor. Ultrasonic humidifiers turn on if temps are high and humidity low. Exhaust passes ozone generator that will remain off except in the case of carbon filter failure. Carbon filter scrubs smells, including ozone of it is present. 12" inline centrifugal pulls air out. Centrifugal controlled by 2 triacs, a thermostat and a relay will have a high speed and a low speed. Ideally the relay will be hooked into a hygrometer so that the fan will switch to high if humidity levels rise beyond a set point.

Considering the addition of an ionizer to charge particles in the air before thay hit the carbon filter.

Looking to brainstorm further.
Your thoughts?
