Soooo.....the saga has come to a crashing halt.
Pheno #3 is garbage and is getting scrapped. Taking way too long and is way too finicky. Pheno #2 is moving along fastest of the 3 so I decided to keep that Pheno #1 got bumped out of the light to make room for faster plants, I am certain this is the 20wk pheno I have had before and Im not all that interested in it at this time, I'll let it finish maybe and turn what ever I get off it into hash. The ECSD x Nev's Im keeping but I messed them up real bad and embarrassed to show them. I've been messing around with new methods these last few grows and got some deficiency and it became a run away train and now they are ugly. I learned a few lessons this grow, Im not going to grow plants this large anymore. From here on out Im going to run 16 small plants in 3 gals. These plants were far too large for the size bags I had them in so they burned thru their available nutes real fast. Next run I am going back to the way I used to do things and really look forward to the space being empty so I can fill it with new strains. The ECSD x Nev's will be back again but next time I am running cuts not huge plants. Sorry to the peeps that were interested in these, just with my current situation I cant deal with this many really long flowering giant plants. Im pretty disappointed with SSH, I know this strain holds some gems but so far everything I have gotten has been long flowering garbage. |

Iron bro keep your head up my man, I always find I become a better grower when I mess up rather than nail something, when you nail it 1st time what have you learned???? I have some big plants in my grow room as well for the first time and it's a learning process, I messed up not feeding enough N in the beginning of flowering and I am still getting adjusted to a consistent feeding schedule, it won't happen over night but in a few grows I hope to have things looking proper, don't be ashamed to show pics thats what this site is here for to help, if you decide to throw up a pic hopefully we can help you turn the plants around especially the nev's X since they'll go a while, best of luck!

too bad, quess it would need room and patience to run bunch of them to find the lady, atleast you tried.
is ssh worst with these phenos or is neville's haze even worse? sorry don't know if you've grown it. Last edited by unthing; 01-04-2012 at 02:19 AM.. Reason: bit |

![]() Yeah the N is what screwed me too. I've been running recycled soil and top dress organics but the bad thing with top dress is when you see a deficiency it is too late because the top dress takes too long to become available to the plant. Next run I am bumping up the amendments in the soil and using teas every week. The haze ECNH still looks ok I'll get some pics up. The sour dom ECNH on the other hand is a mess. I couldnt get the N to her quick enough and she dropped all of her leaves, I think she will still be ok in the end tho because I will just keep her well fed from here on out. One ECNH is throwing out a frankie type smell, I know she is a keeper already. Quote:
Some of the best bud I have ever smoked came from SSH I had in 2008, I just have had a streak of bad luck with phenos lately. I know exactly what I am looking for, if I see it in veg I will know. By like 50 days 12/12 if an SSH looks like a normal plant at day 21-30 you know its going to be junk. I really need 2k worth of lighting, Im getting my process ironed out but hope to be at 2k by next year, that will give me enough space to work with longer flowering plants. 1k is barely cutting the mustard with the amount of buds I need, been getting 26 oz per grow but need like 2P+ per harvest. I just bumped up to 1250w so hopefully that will bring me to where I need to be with yield. One good thing that has come out of this grow is I just seeded up a nice SD IBL female with a load of SD IBL pollen so I should have a few grand worth of seeds come harvest time

Iron, The ECSD itself is a N whore, its always a good idea to give her base grow nute the first 3-4 works rather than a bloom base nute the first 3-4 weeks, I find this the same to be with haze's that take 12 + weeks. I am a coco grower so things might be different but here is an example, I'll use floranova gro the first 3 weeks with the ECSD than ween on to the floranova bloom the next 2 weeks seems to keep them nice and healthy green we all strive to keep, f'in haze's can just plain and simple be tricky, best of luck amigo....

Living organic works a little differently, with TLO you have to have a solid relationship between bacteria, organic materials and the roots.
The soil needs to have a good amount of organic materials and there needs to be a healthy population of bacteria to break it down, covert it to enzymes to feed the plant. It takes a little more forward planning than bottles and feeding schedules, but when done right it's worth it ![]() 2011 has been a busy year, I bumped up to 1k, switched from horizontal to vertical and back again, been trying a few different grow styles and have been working on a soil recipe over the last 3 grows. Im so happy a new year is here and I have most of that BS sorted out. Now I can just focus all of my attention on the plants and not be so busy with the other shit. I might just pick up an organic bottle fert just for emergencies like this one. |

I'm also growing organic this grow... My buds are not nearly as big when i was using the chemical fertilizers... I'm at 30 days and i started using roots organic Buddha bloom... Its so hard to stay off the smog i just want to feed em so they get bigger. I got enough supplies for a least 3 more grows organic well except for a few basic things like casting and perlite... If I'm not getting yeilds i like by then ill probably switch back to chems.. and grow organic for head stash
