Neem oil results. POLL

Hello all,

I am using neem oil now along with NPS for thrips (I believe they are thrips-yet I don't see them on the leaves, just on the floor of the cab),

Anyway, the question is:

Has neem oil treat ment of pests been successful for you?

Neem oil works at least as well as anything else I've used...

When I used Neem from a handheld spray bottle it didn't work well.
I now use a 70 psi pesticide sprayer and it's working great.
I just tilt the wand under the plant and blast up- 70psi just coats the whole underside of the plant in all the nooks and crannies.
Spraying the tops was never a problem.

neem works pretty well but beneficial insects work better imo....you can get them sprayers at walmart....anywhere from half gallon-2 gallon....i got the 2 gallon it works excellent and saves alot of time when foliar feeding.

Mine is a 5 gallon steel cylinder that is pumped to 70psi by my air compressor.
I have seen some at home depot (1-2 gal.) that are hand pumped to about 50psi.
Don't bother with real cheap ones.
With the high PSI, you also blow the little buggers off the plant too.
(I always keep my floor treated with a general spectrum insecticide.)
I blast the heellaa out of them.
Like I said, not one single leaf goes untreated.
That's the problem with little spray bottles.
Low pressure and not enough product.
Pickup Safers 3-n-1 concentrate while your there. (pure neem w/soap)
It makes 16 gallons.
Word of advise,,,,,,
Spray your plants with fresh water before the neem and keep the lights out and fan on.
You don't want to spray thirsty/sick plants

I had Gnats before, and someone on OG told me this, and I've had no problems since.

In a your 1 gal watering container put 8 drops of neem oil ( the straight stuff, not the diluted spray) and about 2 drops of dish soap, I usually mix my mollases and nutes in it sometimes, I do this once every 2-4 weeks never past a month, and you should be ok, its a good preventive agaist future attacks, plus a No-Pest strip or 2

Legit User, I've been advocating (but have never gotten around to trying it lol) the use of an air-brush to apply most spray pesticides. Complete, even coverage.
Do you think an air brush would work as well as your technique?

Deck sprayer works great. Add a little "safersoap" to the neem and it works wonders.
