Guatemalan sativa

Anyone have experience with guatemalan stuff ? or know about genetics over there

My friend brought back some landrace stuff by accident
(I don't think highly of that, dangerous)

full of seeds

very sativa, third world looking buds

some seeds are really small others are medium sized

I thought he meant they were seeds from buds brought back from Guatamala.
How was the smoke?

yes it is weed brought back here

I would love to send some out to experienced growers who can do grow/smoke reports

not sure if that is allowed in the TOU

the weed was scraggly looking but I don't think it's because of the genetics but more the growing methods
it was also very fluffy and smelt spicy

the high, you couldn't feel any indica properties

it was racey, and one word I used to describe it was

disturbing

my friend who brought it back agreed lol

as for the taste, nothing to write back home, being it was full of seeds, very dry, it was harsh

I didn't smoke much of it, I will smoke more next time and let you guys know

I know this won't help much. I was in Guatemala in the late 70's for a week. There's a settlement at Lake Atitlan [a sizable bottomless crater lake in the volcanic mountains]. Very beautiful with a year round Spring climate due to the altitude. It's like an artist colony with lots of foreigners including a number of Americans.

An American I met and hung with at Tikal had a bag he scored at Lake Atitlan. Grown there. I thought it was really great, and was as good as some of the best Columbian of the day, only it was green instead of gold like almost all the Columbian available. It was likely Columbian or Mexican genetics. Sativa, mostly seedless.

I wouldn't be surprised if your friends seed could yield some great bud if grown and cured properly. Have fun and report back. -granger

The racey disturbing aspect may be due to early harvest. That may be some great seed if grown out with care.
