What are we looking at here?

Is this herb a by-product of mass production in the "Emerald Triangle", or a scheme by a grower to maximize their cut?

This bag traveled East from Humboldt, that much is certain. There were two strains, but both contained nothing but these little, pea-sized, buds. So far, so good.

Are these buds left-overs, or are "meds" just processed this way?

Only a machine could have produced this kind of trim-job.

Close inspection with a 8X Lupe proved interesting. There are a lot of stalks, but very, very, few globular trichome heads.

It smells fine, tastes good, and works as advertised, but ... we can't help but wonder if it hadn't been subject to a little screening prior to being bagged and distributed.

What's your best guess?

really hard to tell with that pic, definitely looks like lower buds on the plant though

knocking the trichomes off the outside is a popular thing to do on the west coast, this is one of the biggest reasons that i stopped going to the shops and started learning about growing my own

probably was in a tumbler lol someone sold you their popcorn. nothing wrong with that . great for bonghits and pipeloads.

My 2 cents is its been tumbled twice, second guy need to break the buds down to get at the inter tricombs. But tumbled none the less.

yup those are popcorn packs....the "shippers" love them because the growers up north sell for around 500 less per pound and they still fetch similar tickets back east. it all sells for 40 an 8th anyways back east...thats a 4800 breakdown off a 1000 dollar popcorn pack. the local clubs out here sell popcorn all the time too, they take all the choice nugs for headstash.

most big time growers up north dont have time to handtrim the popcorn so it goes through the trim machine, thats why there are no tric heads....

Small outdoor nugs. These small packs allow them to sell the big chunks individually for more. Prolly be good for hash, butter or topicals. Peace GS
