Prowler's Lovers
Hello lovers!
Wanted to share my adventures with HOL. I am a lucky owner of a brand new 12+2 pack -hoping to find some keepers - and i really need your help also to identify my littles. But not yet. Burried these last week to a mix of recycled coco with random amount of perlite and recycled organic soil. Going to feed them Bio Sevia and Natural thricoderma hoping to make it organic but we'll see. First time that i try Sevia series. I run with a perpertual schedule and enjoy variety. Vegging with 500w worth of cfl light and 600+400 watt vertical in a 150 tent. Currently i'm battling with blumats and so far they've won by either flooding or drying. But my plants look definitely better. Anyway... here we go - show some love: Date 10.11.11, 01:12 One haven't risen yet. More to follow

All Right Prowler! You should get all the help you need in identifying those younguns. You've probably seen my grow along thread, it featured all of the 6 strains in the mix pack plus the casey jones f3's.
Most Def Subbed!

Seed Buyers Beware! Don't waste your money on hype. If you have to buy multiple seed packs to find that "keeper", you're getting ripped off. Every female in a pack of seeds should be a keeper! We've been led to believe that lots of variation in a cross is a good thing, because some vendors would rather you buy several packs of their gear, instead of them actually doing the selections to fix that nag champa or golden clit trait themselves. For hobby growers, pheno hunting is fun. But mono-croppers who grow to pay the bills prefer a consistent product that regularly delivers the desired trait package. |

Thank you for the feedback. It made me want to share some more. So here is my vegging gear. The other bulb was hung vertically before but i really think that it is more efficient this way because i simply don't have the space to utilize vertical lighting fully in veg.
Right now by biggest problems are humidity (too dry) and thrips (too lazy to order spinosad via ebay) but after all i do not belive that poisoning them is the right way so i want to belive that someday predators will populate my tents. I have several friends already doing their thing. This was chilling at the top of a hood. Cute little bastard - ain't it? Also got this really expensive and worthless oscillating fan - or actually not worthless but it's digital and after a power shortage it has to be started again manually. But it ain't hurting anyone and actually it's pretty effective - still you got to laugh to it, at least a bit. And here is the daycare: 3 x sssdh, 1 x very lazy laughing buddha and 4 x mystery hol. So that is where it all starts. More to follow.

Thanks LouDog420!
Blumats dialed. I figured that it's better to check and hand water bloomers once a week than fight an endless war with flooding. I still have to buy a reservoir and more hose for veg side. Sunday was a black one this time. I had one Narkush male in my flowering tent and seems like i took it out a bit too late. So it looks like i am going to have a shitload of seeds. We'll see...tried some emergency measures but i just gotta live with it. ![]() Took some pictures yesterday before potting and checked the labels also this time. HOL #1 haven't risen still so the labeling starts from #2. I might pop some more HOL seeds this weekend because i'm seriously looking for keepers. pictorial dated 15112011 HOL#2 HOL#3 HOL#4 HOL #5 Kindergarden The biggest one is SSSDH. Hope it is a she because it looks very vigor though HOL:ers aren't falling behind. That Laughing Buddha makes me laugh. Kind of a runt. Otherwise everything is going fine. Bought an aerocloner by nutriculture. A kind of toy but it's doing it's thing. Maybe later i'll make one of my own. Also waiting for compost to finish too.

Great start on everything, Prowler. You'll get some good help identifying these babies as they grow, I'm sure.
LouDog's right...blumats work really well once you get your system worked out. For me it was a matter of deciding how wet to run the pots. I ran them a little dry at first out of fear of runaways, which can happen rarely, but quickly found out: the wetter the better. With a floor/pond liner down, it's not too big a concern. Can't wait to see what comes out of that mixed pack of yours! |

Most def bro!
Gave them some beneficials, molasses, piranha & tarantula and superthrive. Chime in if you have something to add. I'm new in organics so everything is a bit new to me. Anyway they seem to like me - at least a bit.
