Really disappointed
I just received my 12+2 pack and though it is a great selection of strains, they are not sorted. I wish I knew that was the case because that defeats the whole purpose of buying genetics. If I don't know what I am growing I may as well grab from the the many mystery mixes I have accumulated. You may want to mention in the description that they are not only mixed genetics but unsorted. In my opinion this lessens the value significantly. I don't understand why you would go through the trouble of listing quantity of each strain and then mix them together. Many of us have limited space and like to know what we are growing. Just my opinion. Nothing personal, but this refused logic.

That's just the way it works man. That's why mix packs are discounted from breeder's other offerings.

I bet if you grow those beans out, not only will you get some killer plants, but you will likely have some very helpful breeders around here that would probably be more than happy to help you identify your genes

I grew Chimera's out and knew exactly what I had for every plant by reading the descriptions, but I can see having trouble from some people hah :P I too wish mix packs were sorted, but I have never bought a mix pack that wasn't mixed.

Hence the name and the discounted price.

to me the whole idea of a mix pack is to be surprised when they pop up and another surprise when you get that first smoke! if you grow them youll get stoned! lol my point is whether named or not, mixed or not. you never realllly know till you smoke it yourself, how its going to be. as long as you start out with a good breeder, youl end up with good shit! if you want to know exactly what your growing, then spend a few extra bones and buy an unmixed pack my friend. our friends here at hol wont steer you wrong. pop a few and well do our best to help you figure out which ones you have!

I guess I understand
Just never bought a mixed pack where exact quant and type of seed were spelled out. Not much of a stretch to keepm separate with paper or something.

Shag and bag 100 packs of seed then consider trying to keep 'em separate, 5 varieties nonetheless!!
No funPop those beans and then let us know if you are still 'really disappointed' ![]() Smoke a fat one, go browse the forum and smile at the possibilities

Most mix packs offered by vendors are simply the misc. seeds that can't be identified positively, so they're sold in generic mix packs. While ours weren't labeled, you can be assured that there are 2 of each strain, plus 2 of the Casey Jones f3's, as built in freebies. You def won't have any trouble identifying the CJ's. Hope this helps cyburnt, and it would be cool to use this thread as your grow thread- upload pics and the crew and I can help you I/D what you've got... it could be fun!

Seed Buyers Beware! Don't waste your money on hype. If you have to buy multiple seed packs to find that "keeper", you're getting ripped off. Every female in a pack of seeds should be a keeper! We've been led to believe that lots of variation in a cross is a good thing, because some vendors would rather you buy several packs of their gear, instead of them actually doing the selections to fix that nag champa or golden clit trait themselves. For hobby growers, pheno hunting is fun. But mono-croppers who grow to pay the bills prefer a consistent product that regularly delivers the desired trait package. |
