i hate them checkpoints . last time i got pulled over cause the car was riding low they said,. boy were they suprised to find a trunkfull of ocean forest soil. it was funny and i was stoned to the bone

I think the law is they can be placed up to 60 miles inside the US. They have those all over up near the canadian border on the east coast. They set them up right in the middle of the interstate. A logging truck or tractor trailer plowed through one a few years ago in northern Vermont or NY and killed some people because he couldn't stop in time. They're trying to get the way those checkpoints are run changed because of that accident.
