Looks like you got one of the top of the line computers. I have a desktop with an i5 processor. Upgraded from a quad core earlier this year and, and wow, what a difference in speed. My startup time went from 2-3 minutes to unde 1 minute. I'm loving it. I have it plugged into m tv and it is used almost exclusively for entertainment now that I have an iPad for I telnet and what- not. Grats on the upgrade, I think you will like it.

Are you sure that hp laptop only comes with 2ghz cpu ? seems a bit weak for a top end model.

Just wondering what you paid for that. The best laptop for your money is either an ASUS G series laptop or one of the new MSI laptops. I would suggest the ASUS G though. Its an I7, 8 gigs ddr3 ram, Nvidia GTX560, and full HD screen. Basically a desktop replacement and you can get them for about 1200. Check em out on Newegg.

What ever that replaced sounds like you got a smoking deal!!

If you want your computer to be as fast as the future replace your hard drives in for ssd. Windows will boot to desktop in seconds.

But goodfuckingdeal!
