True Blueberry Scrog

Here is my True Blueberry scrog at day 19 12/12. 250 watts. They were vegged for 55 days. Initially they were slow growers, but they started growing strong about day 35. I planted 8, and all were sprouted by day 2 in soil. 7 out of the 8 were crinkled leaf mutants. All show very purple stems. All showed sex in veg, and I ended up with 4 females. They hardly drink at all it seems like, and are indeed very light feeders. As a contrast, my last grow of Godbud at this stage was needing to be fed/watered every 3-4 days. I’ve only been watering these guys every 7 days. The smell is very floral and pleasant at this point, more so than I would expect at this stage.

Also in there is a Blue Apollo from Joey Weed, it’s the one in the middle without the crinkled leaves. Does anyone know if these plants are related? As far as I know, Joey used one of DJ’s more sativa blueberry dads. And as far as I know, DJ used a more sativa blueberry dad for this strain…

The poor straggler in the corner is one of the tbb, I ran out of soil when transplanting and have been too busy to get more. I feel sad now, it won’t be able to fully recover if I ever manage to get it transplanted. I'll try to update every week or so.

The cab...

and the Blue Apollo...

Ive asked this before and never really got an answer, but cant all the inbreeding be the source of the mutation of the Blueberry line???

In reality, the mutations are more than likely caused from the original Thai that was used in the development of these lines. Without mutations in nature, we as humans would never have been able to crawl out of that primordial goo!

Day 29. Things are going smoothly. The screen is 2 feet by 2.5 feet, and each hole is 3”x2”. Not much smell to the tbb yet, I discovered the smells I was smelling is from the Blue Apollo. One of the three is starting to show purple on it’s buds already. The straggler in the corner is now an experiment, just ignore her in the pics.

Regarding the mutations, I don’t mind at all. While I said that they were slow in veg, they weren’t annoyingly so and have been very vigorous since about day 35 from seed. I’ve heard a lot about bb being a pain in the ass to grow, but I haven’t found this to be the case at all (knock on wood). With their freaky deaky leaves, amazing stem color, and (as I’m starting to notice) interesting bud structure, these are the most unique mj plants I’ve ever had the pleasure of growing. I hope the fruit will be as unique as plants.

Invasion!

I found a little red alien on one of my buds, and signs of it on a few other buds from the same plant. Anyone know what this could be?
