Rugby World Cup 2011!!!
Hi to all you stateside peeps! Just read the article linked below and was wondering if anyone here watches or plays Rugby? Seems logical that the sport could really take off in America.
Anyway...if you can...try and watch a few games over the next 6 weeks...especially try and watch New Zealand and Australia's games. They play the most exciting way! I'm Enlgish so obviously want them to win...but they do appear quite ponderous at times...skillful players...big players...but lacking imagination I feel. Anyway...hope USA hold there own against Ireland on Sunday! ![]() Link: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-14725789 |

It sure was ^^ ! England are playing seriously shit but somehow are in the quarters!
![]() Hope some of you guys caught a bit of the Samoa v S. Africa match..? THAT was...how can I put this mildly...a physical game LOL! This Sat & Sun, 2 games each day = the QF's. Try and catch some of them...they're gonna be good. Particularly: Ireland v Wales and Australia v S. Africa. England v France is always extremely potent in every regard. NZ v Argentina will be over by half time. NZ to win by 30 pts. Rugby is a great game to play...BUT...IMO a better game to watch...if not THE best game to watch!

One of the guys playing for Samoa the other day was 6foot 3inches tall (average for a centre really...players regularly get up to 6'8") but weighed 20 stones! 20! Quite a nimble fella too.

Manu Samoa thrashed the pants off Oz too! Oz did not give them enuf respect. (I suspect residual racism! Oz is like that.) when they played Oz I got the impression they could have beaten anyone, including NZ.
Wobblies versus SA this weekend. I 'll be watching! SA to win I reckon and the Wobblies will be out. Ireland is the big sleeper among the teams. keep an eye on them for the finals. |
