Portland, Oregon: Hemp Stalk, Sept 10 & 11, Anybody Goin?
Just heard about Hemp Stalk on a TV show called Cannabis Common Sense last night on Portland Public Access. The host suggested it was in a similar vein as Hempfest in Seattle, bands and what-have-you.
Has anybody been to this before? Does it cost money to get in? What kind of a turnout do they get? Lets hear some reports!

I went to the one in 2009. It will probably be at the same park. No cost to get in! Then anyway. You should be able to go to hempfest 2011 on the world wide web and get something. Man, I shook Jack Herrer's hand that day, that evening he had his eventually fatal heart attack. Go and enjoy! will be a lot of glass vendors and such. Have a Hempy one!

It's free to get in. You have to park a way out there. There are golf cart shuttles picking people up off the road to bring them in. I think they appreciate tips. Much smaller and more fun than Hempfest in my opinion. Check the venue online and you may see a band or speaker that will be there and therefore select which day you want to attend (of the three). Had a blast last year and seen some pretty important people speaking (Jack Herer's son was there and so was Jodie Emery). Again, much smaller than Hempfest and therefore a lot less trouble. In a wooded location, a nice park where the Columbia and Willamette River confluence (where those two big rivers come together). No hassle with the police.

Just saw the long term forcast for next weekend...it's gonna be a steamer, 95 to 100 degrees, probably going to be minimal shade available to escape the rays.
If it ends up being that hot I will not be attending. I'm a heat pussy.
