OK guys and girls I would like to tap in to your knowledge about this:
Currently visiting in FL. Same as from home where I live I am connected to the net by using this Laptop which has a proxy installed on it. Here in the US I am using an aircard in the lap top which connects it to a server which is owned by a friend of mine. @ home we have satellite internet only which is routed to my Laptop by a wireless signal from a near by hotel. No matter where I am located (USA or not) this laptop with the proxy on it ALWAYS connects to the same server which again is owned by a close friend. No matter where I am and how the laptop gets its signal (wireless, aircard, WiFi) I am ALWAYS connected through the previously mentioned server, this has always been working pretty much flawlessly. So now last night while I am staying @ this private clinic although my friends server was NOT down I was unable to connect to his server. I NEVER connect to the net not using the proxy installed on this Laptop. So does someone have an idea why I was unable to connect to my friends server as I usually do? I re-started the Laptop a few times and looked within the settings (but did not change anything) and after about an hour all was fine again. And no the proxy was not down, neither.
