Ainsworth reviews that treatment with auxin and ethylene have feminizing effects, and that treatment with cytokinins and gibberellins have masculinizing effects.It has been reported that sex can be reversed in Cannabis using chemical treatment. A PCR-based method for the detection of female-associated DNA polymorphisms by genotyping has been developed.

curious if anyone has experimented with any of this sex reversal and or sex influencing chemicals...

Of course people have been using these hormone-intereference or imitation techniques for ages... how did you think feminized seeds were produced? Blocking the ethylene pathway in female cannabis results in male flowers.

The sex related markers have been around for ages- I started sexing via PCR in 1998 using a protocol that was developed in 1995. The female associated sequence was put forward later... I am currently running some tests with both sets of markers, to try and sort out some unresolved issues regarding cannabis sexuality and expression.

Interesting stuff, but it's pretty old hat these days.

Wake up post!

So if I use bananas in a. Bag for two weeks it promotes female seeds. If I spray a bag with jazz it promotes male plants? Looking for a way to make male seed.
