just began germinating some SD ibl beans and was curious if they enjoy being topped? i am in a 3x3x6 tent with a 400hps air cooled.

any guidance.

soil
5 gallon pots to finish
organic bottle nutes

thinkof popping 5 beans. so who knows how many will be female.

looking for some help! thanks in advance

got only 1 female from the 1st 5 sdibl seeds..topped her 2 weeks b4 flip and she responded just fine.........Ill try and get ya a pic in the near future

I've never had an issue topping a plant and I've topped the REZSDIBL of this yer with no ill effect

I popped 5 seeds and got 5 males, popped 3 more got all males, popped the last 2 and finally got 2 females, what are the odds of that

took me almost a year to coax the females out of my pack of seeds. I'd start all 10 find the best females, grow them side by side, then keep the best 1. Even tho it's called "SD IBL" there will still be a few pheno's some better than others.

Pop all 10 for sure. Much easier to pick a mother with all the females side by side.

Edit: Now this got me thinking. My Galadriels gave me 7 of 7 females, so you never know. Kind of a Murphy's Law type of thing. If you only pop 5 you will get only 1 female. If you pop all 10 then you will get 9 females, lol. Good luck

wow, i should start all ten? well, i might have a few that are a couple days behind....might just pop some feminized critcal mass as well

as a matter of fact, first time popping seeds and only my second grow. been reading a lot so i should have any trouble with germinating and starting seeds...wish me luck

heres a couple of the ecsd clone nearing day 50 starting to swell

here is the 4th sdibl male and the one Ill collect pollen from.....

heres the topped sdibl female

and Ill say it here was gonna hit up the sdibl pheno thread but then bullfrog will call me a troll and neg rep me......

I did not see much variance in phenos except in veg there were slight differences once flowered they stayed pretty true all were topped and all grew at the same rate and so far all I'm seeing is the clone........with sturdier steams and less branchy structure the buds on the female are pretty damn identicle to the clone at her age.......The smell is still neutral just like the clone as well at this stage when she starts to get going Ill have a more accurate gauge on weather or not she got the funk but so far pretty damn good
