Nice. I'm getting ready to pop some Blubonic now. Any 'protips' or 'watchouts' for a someone new to the Blu?

I've been looking at those beans for over a year now and I have asked a few questions about them. One thing that was mentioned is that they are sensitive to nutes and I wonder what your experience has been Sir Sticky?

really shes pretty easy. be sure to keep the lumens high on her or she likes to autoflower. clones really easily, I use recycled organic soil with nutes mixed in(which has become pretty strong now) for veg and subcool's supersoil for flower and it loves it. She is the biggest yielder in my garden and clones the easiest I have ever seen. Smell is all berry, taste is sometimes berry sometimes citrus. She also drinks twice as much water as anything else. The 6-7 week flowering plant pictured will bend completely over if I do not prop her up. I posted this pic earlier but this is pheno 1 harvested from seed for the first time. Harvested at 70 days, 24 grams from a 1 gallon pot sea of green with 4-5 other plants under 150 hps

Wow well thanks..Yeah I asked another guy about it and he said it was really finicky as far as nutes, so I was kind of looking for something easier. Damn I might have to just try it and see for myself. So what did you use as far as nutes? Did you grow in soil? Sorry for the questions, but I really am interested in this strain. Sotf420 told me I wouldn't be disappointed, and for some reason I trust the guy lol. Anyway thanks

I mix organic nutes into my soil, I used promix ultimate organic mix for a base, I added espoma biotone starter plus and worm castings to that along with perlite. This is what I pretty much use for veg soil, then for final transplant before flower I use subcools super soil:
6 Bags Roots soil or equivalent high quality supped up grow soil 25 pounds Pure Worm Castings ½ cup Azomite trace minerals 2/3 Cup Sweet Lime IE Dolomite 1 Kilo Bone meal / IE 5 Pounds 1 Kilo Blood meal ( I use a bit more bone than Blood in this recipe) 1 Kilo Bat Guano bloom formula preferably Fruit bats 3/4 cup Epson Salts All I do is add water |

i also experienced some phenos that were sensitive to nutes, and some that lack vigour definitely not the easiest to grow strain... but well worth it if you find the right cut!

Looks good Sir Sticky. I really like Blubonic, it has such a great flavor and smell. I found 3-4 different phenos in the pack I grew out. 1 of them was very purple and my pick out of the bunch. Another was almost racy like a sativa. Make sure to show those cured buds and give us a smoke report.
Warped1- what are you waiting for? You won't be sorry! I found these pretty easy to grow but I usually feed everything conservatively. |
