Hanging a 600W ballast on the wall...

I've considered hanging my ballast on the wall instead of its current position that's not quite safe enough.
I feel that it's very heavy though - haven't weighed it but it seems like 10-15 kgs - and I'm not sure I would trust 4 screws to hold it.
How do you people do it - and how heavy are your ballasts?

I have 600w ballasts, and 400 watt ballasts, and I hang them on the wall. The walls are made out of particle board. You just pick a spot, and screw it in with two screws. Mine are Lumatek's. If it were sheet rock you would need to locate a stud to screw them into.

I setup a separate powerbox behind my cab, sits on a 2x4 table, spliced in extention cords to lengthen wires.

Nice and clean working area man - like a lab I'll take your advice for sure. Wondered if you were also a cook until I realized that the glassware was bongs
Check out the ventilator - there is a horizontal line where the picture jumps forward in time. Quite groovy.

Hey what's up. the picture is one of those stitch together panoramics, the room is much smaller than that pic makes it seem. That was a little "glitch" on the fan.

Thats all ikea furniture btw lol

guessing that's sarcasm...

I just mounted a shelf to the wall specifically for the ballasts and their outlets. Couple shelf brackets screwed into studs.

Any mag ballast is going to be too heavy to trust directly into drywall, even with anchors I wouldn't do it.

Thanks for the compliment, there are two links in my sig line. The basement circus is the building of the room and the sanctuary grows are the grow logs.

the pic was taken in from of a door that leads to the 4x8ft 2k flowering room.
