howdy CBG, was wondering if you plan on ever releasing the Meao Thai in pure form ?

Don't think so...... Destroyer it's mostly Meao Thai and the closets strain to MeaoThai

There is Double Thai at ACE Seeds and many other F1s using Meao Thai think show very good and interesting potential for most sativa aficionados

I was wondering about this. I understand the destroyer started out as a number of Meao Thai females that were pollenated by a father of South American origin. After that the progeny were incrossed for a number of generations. I have seen no mention of backcrossing to the mother Thai.

Perhaps Kaiki selected for Thai traits in the offspring; But from what I have seen it looks to be a stabilized Thai cross ~50% Thai.

Clearly I DO NOT PRETEND TO KNOW; I am asking. Is Destroyer 50% Meao Thai or was there more to the breeding? Thank you!

I grew Destroyer a few years ago. It is a wonderful indoor sativa that I will always have. I am just interested in how closely it resembles the Thai in her present form...Thanks!

I'm also curious about the relative percentage of thai in this cross. I ran Destroyer once previously, but after 10 weeks I still only had qtip size buds so I gave up on her. I'm about to start another run with it, and plan to keep it around this time.

It wasnt backcrossed to Thai but inbred several generations. It started with male mexcolombian and 9 meao thai females
There are some variations as usual here but most of all are very nice overall in effect department. You can find some phenos which finish in 12 weeks up to 16 weeks if so the latests ones. Nice yield and nice effect
There were some oldschool phenos in last fem run which stretched madly and made large and tiny buds but with a strong and unique effect too.

so the meao thai male that ACE uses isn't the same male used in destroyer as I always thought then? or are they referring to a Meao dominant destroyer male used in double thai?

sorry if this is more a question for Dubi, but i figured you could give some insight.

Not problem Infinitesimal
Destroyer uses its male, a dad maintained from 2003, called Mr Klean (in the picture) by friend Raco
All Meao Thai crosses use a pure Meao Thai male so most lines made with ACE are real F1s, not Destroyer used there

Its seems the thai phenos of golden tiger, zamaldelica and even the purple haze cross produce some spectacular effects. I tried searching for a thread on the Meao Thai itself but found nothing. Capt Crip started one a few years back but never finished it. This must be some potent stuff on its own. Wonder what a cross like the panama red 1974 x meao thai would create. Old school panama red was simply the best according to every old timer I've spoken to about blasts from the past. Than there's DJ shorts holy grail the highland oaxacan. Hey Charlie what do you think of blending these three together? All data points to the end result being some holy grail like stash!!
