E-85 Fuel Shack
I have recently learned a lot about E-85(Ethanol at 85%/Gasoline 15%). Where I live in Oregon, the Ethanol comes from sugary wastewater instead of corn. I'm not a big fan of using corn to make Ethanol, but I do like the fact that ours comes from something that would be pretty much thrown away anyways.
I'm thinking of converting my vehicle to run on this local fuel, and was wondering if anyone here runs it in their flex-fuel vehicle, or possibly even converted your current vehicle to run E-85. I do realize that you get fewer miles per gallon, but the sustainable aspect as well as the increased HP, is starting to pull me towards converting my vehicle to run E-85. |
