I know it says something on the forum description, but i'm just worried this place will turn into some cave with "elitist minded ICmagers" inhabitating it.. With clubs and wits to kill a worry free OG/CW'er..

I was here before OG/CW went down but i also am a member of many cannabis boards.. And i say we're all in the same boat here. If you think like: "in my opinion, OG and CW peeps ruin this place.", then think again. This is just another cannabis board on the net. If this cannabis board is different from the others, well i'll be amazed. People here a bit more personal, i know because it's not so big of a community. Or at least it was a lil community in the past..

I've never been quite right with that "personal" way of writing. I'm the guy who has to be told every now and then that "Don't sweat it." because i'm a super paranoid type of person. And when i write in my own way, i usually get shitstormed here in ICmag. I find it funny, sad and wrong at the same time.

It's like some people in ICmag want to see one way of writing only. Ok, mine may be a lil different from the most, but usually people are offended a lot if i even make a lil comment about something. I don't know about what it is called in english, but in finnish we have "rakentavaa kritiikkiä"; "building criticism". Every time i make a comment that has even a lil negative side to it, i get shitstormed.

That's what i find weird about ICmag. Being different isn't easy here. I haven't changed my way of writing though, but i sure can see that some OG/CW peeps can get some rough times here

My point is that these peeps behind their OG/CW nicks are still the same kind as you. So why give them a hard time when you could just embrace them and then have a bigger knowledge pool where draw from

My coming to IC wasn't so rosey as you can see from the above rant, but i really wish you "core ICmag people" see that it's never bad to have more stoners on a stoner forum.

Those people i can guarantee that they would never have a real reason to have a black karma bar, but for some reason the sensitive ICmag users seem to be offended by anything that isn't 100% positive.

"oh nice big buds, oh nice pictures, oh perfect angle for the pic, oh my god i love your growroom, ahhh these strains, aw my your virtual penis is getting so big!" -kinda stuff that goes on the forums daily, and if you don't agree, you'll be getting a lot of neg karma.

I know i'm pushing the line here, but at the same time i'm hitting the nail to the head.

think thats a question best left to each individual....that would be like asking why are OGers so childish? or why do CWers think thay are so elite? these are questions i've seen,NOT MY OPINION,so save the flamming.

One of the reasons CWers feel so elite is that we never needed silly karma games to validate ourselves. Is there an "ignore" function here?

IMO this is a prime example of assuming without bothering to consult ICmag TOS, and posts questioning the reasoning or validity of our TOS are just trolling for acceptance.

ICmag doesn't have a "Karma" policy in place. The site creators, having noted problems with similar functions on other boards, decided that a method of building one's reputation was a more accurate feature. Sadly, trolls and immaturity have discovered how easy it is to abuse. The feature is intended, I believe, to visually display a user's contribution reputation to the positive encouragement and unity of the community. I personally never understood the reasoning for enabling a negative function, you either contribute to improve and strenghten your community - or- you strive to spread your own negative sinility designed to publicly disrupt the positive attitude that we so adamantly defend. As was stated in other posts, if you don't have anything good to contribute to this cannabis GROWING site, there are plenty of STONER sites that thrive on arguments and fights.

The defining difference between arguementative immaturity and adult responsibility is respect for another's opinions even if they don't agree with yours. It's possible to agree to disagree without malice or hatred. I joined this community because everyone is here to talk about our love for cultivating cannabis, not to get into pissing contests over territory or who's schlong is bigger and better, those that don't understand that basic motivation need to find a place more comfortable with discussions on drug use and paraphanalia, IMO we're brought together here to share and discuss our experiences within an adult growing community.

Our time is better applied to growing than displaying bong toys and childish Karma bashing discussions about why things are as they are and why can't I change them the way I want.

Ahhhhhh! ICmagers...... OGers.......... We're labeling here people. Don't get me wrong, I understand why you guys are frustrated with all the new people joining up, but there is a lot of labeling going on from both parties. We're all MJ lovers. Some grow, some smoke. This site is obviously more of a growers site. So stoners and the like should find some other place. Simple enough. But when I was at OG, it seemed like most there were growers too. I don't know where these trolls are coming from, because I didn't see that much of it on OG, but they certainly have found there way here. This is very unfortunate. I don't see the people who were members of ICmag before the mass Exodus being elitist. It's just that they put a lot of work into getting this site and it's members right where they like it, and now there's a shitload of new people coming and saying, "This place sucks." "I miss OG. This place is nothing compared to OG." "These ICmagers are stuck up." "Why can't I post glass."
These are all very stupid comments, and I see many of them. I seriously doubt that the members of this site were negative before the exodus, but at this point it seems justified. I would be FLIPPING OUT if I were you guys. Some people just don't know how to be curteous.

Like I said about 100 times since I joined this site.... Everyone will calm down when this blows over. We're all stressed out right now, and with good reason. I have not seen one member making an anti-OG/CW comment without it being justified. I have begun to feel more at home here since I stopped staying in the OG Refugee Forum. Once I got into the grow forums, I felt right at home.

More OG/CW refugees should do the same...... I think.

I just make a note on whos dishing out the negative points and come dec 24th I eat 12 pounds of taco bell and shit in their chimney. Lumps of coal just got to be too expensive.
