Drying And Curing Large Amounts

Just wondering if you guys had any tips for drying large amounts.

Here is the dilemma I am planning on growing a crop of about 100-175 plants.

now i have done the whole indoor thing before...so i know it's easy to dry in a grow room..

but this will be outdoor...what would be the easiest way to dry that amount.

and how would you cure that amount cause i am not gonna jar up like 150 lbs of herb/

Box Cuiring? ....i don't want any mold or anything like that occuring on the bud

Unless you plan to sit on a felonious amount of weed for a couple of months I would suggest skipping the cure and breaking the large amount into smaller so it will dry faster and then send it on its merry way. There isnt an extra premium in the world that would make me want to sit on a large amount for more time than I actually needed to.

You could build a large set of racks; they would only need to be framing w/ screen in the middle. This way you build the racks up in turn saving space. You should just search the net for some form of rack system and then copy it. Otherwise you are going to have to hang allot of plants and will need copius amounts of space. For the curing i would use cardboard boxes of large tupperware, but i personaly like naturla fiber maturals like boxes and paper bags. Hope this helps.

The biggest pain in the a$$ with growing that much is the trimming..... I would suggest cutting it in stages, like 25% a week or something like that....

Thanks for all the help so far guys......good ideas ..but do you know how many drying racks you would need for that number of plants...alot.

Trimming isn't gonna be that hard cause i have a mechanical trimmer so that will speed things up..

I might just put up a camo tarp in the forest and hang them underneath or something along those line so that it's covered from above

My suggestion is get turnbuckles, lag hooks, and lots of cable, and predrill the studs in a room out for the lag hooks, on one side use the turnbuckle to tighten the cable.

Then go to the local drycleaner and ask them for as many clothes hangers as possible.

After that, you need to have like 10 people and like 5-10 trimpros and get your ass in gear for a LONG ass week of trimming.

You can have the whole drying room on 2 levels, top and bottom and still have some pretty long ass colas hung over top each other. Then put 1-2 dehumidifiers in the room, like a 70 pint, change water bucket either daily or bi-daily which is why you will need 2 units in there because one might be filled up by the end of the day.

Put it on on like 40% humidity and it will be dry in 5-7 days very well and suitable for long term curing. Long term curing is simple. Find air tight containers with seals on them. Just like a turkey bag, a jar will cure your weed, but so will a large container, however, if it is not dry, it will mould by day 4 in the container. The inner moisture will come out to the outer parts like a heatsink lets off heat to the fins, and will cause surface mould and lots of moisture that needs to be aired out each day for an hour or more.
