My PCK issue...

Hi, I've just started 2 PCK's and they are growing extremely slowly. I'm running 6 strains in all and started half the beans about a week prior to the others and the PCK's were started with the first lot yet they are still much smaller than seeds I started a week later and aren't showing any sign of picking up the growth rate. Is this common or am I the only person who has encountered this? At first I put it down to the fact that 2 of the strains I'm running are real F1's I made from IBL parents so they are extremely vigorous but then the other strains I'm running also took off so I began to worry. I haven't yet grown a strain that has taken so long to grow. I'm running them in growool on the same nutrients as my other plants but I don't think it's a PH or media issue as the others are all of varied genetic origin yet are all very healthy and growing quite rapidly. Is there anything in particular which this strain is known to like/dislike? are there phenos which suffer more fom inbreeding depression than others? is there anything which I could attribute this anomoly to which anyone could think of? I'm at a loss here ppl, anything at all from those who know her/have grown her would be appreciated as I've been looking forward to getting a cpl of these going for awhile now...

Hi Mountain Monkey, I've been growing Pakistan Chitral Kush for almost 5 years. I've learned a lot from this line, firstly by my own experience with all the Chitral plants I've encountered during this time and second from all the chats with charlie garcia about this strain.

This line it's a medium vigour line, last generations have improved the best hashplant phenos and the healthiest and most vigorous plants, always keeping the pool openned with lot's of good individuals and fixing traits as purple colors, sex stability and potency.
With all the I planted I wasted only 5 or 6 seeds because human fail never because the seeds were old or sick.

During the first weeks this strain doesn't like lot's of water, prefers to be irrigated when the plants really need it's and the soil is well dried. So maybe rockwool it's not the best medium for them...but I insist that's what happened to you sounds really strange and uncommun issue.

Some pics will help. also your seeds are originals uh?

Take care and best wishes with them!

Thanks mate, I'm pretty sure you're spot on there with the water comment. I've taken a really good look at all the plants to try to ascertain where my mistake was being made. (or hopefully, that I had lucked out and found 2 identical sports in a pack in which case I wouldn't care if they took a year to hit normal hieght if there was a chance of them suffocating on their own trichs!) I noticed that the 2 growool squares I put the plugs into were a fair bit damper than the rest and although I cant test as I don't have spirit level I'm prtty sure the floor is on a slant to one side. I gave them even more ventilation space under the squares they are in and they have responded well for the past 2 days. I'll have pics up 2nite for you and then in about a week again so we can see if the extra airflow underneath has fixed the soak problem. Again, your response was very impressive given the fact I didn't really give the best description of how I had everything setup etc. Would I be able to contact you for any tips/help during this grow? I'm not at all experienced with the strain so I am always open to knowledge from those who are and it seems you really know your stuff re this strain. Thanks again mate. Will update tonight.

Thx for all help Ras Pablo, you know very well this line
Agree on most, is delicate at first stages, not too vigorous thats for sure if compared to some other hybrids, not need to go too fast or too strong untill roots develop better
Wish all goes well, bit patient and thats it
enjoy

Thanks for all the good vibes and helpful answers. I'm doing just that, waiting patiently whilst they chug along slowly. I'm sure they'll be fine but was very stressed at first as I'm really looking forward to getting these into a spliff, vape or anything that will allow mw to enjoy them. I'm looking forward even more however to growing them out, getting to know the strain and hopefully getting a boy and girl so I use one or the other to pollinate one of the other 7 strains I've now got going (added another in the past few days) or pollinating one of these with a male from the others, either way I'll be happy. I'll update things as they go and I'm hoping they go well...
