Stupor Sonic - Realy an Autoflower??
I just received my stuporsonic and was surprised to see on the pack that they autoflower 4 weeks after germination. This totally changes my plant april done early september plans.
Do they all autoflower or just select individuals? Do they autoflower under 24 hrs? I really need to know soon so I can change plans. |

They all autoflower (if they are pure stuporsonic)
Not sure about 24 hrs but 18/6 I would quess they all autoflower under because other af-strains have those tendencies... what's the problem? btw?! Where did you get your stuporsonic seeds? I can only find "sold out"/"out of stock" allover...

Depends on the definition of autoflowering. Mine did flower in a few weeks when using 18/6 lighting. However I wouldn't call that autoflowering. I'd say a plant is an autoflowerer when it flowers REGARDLESS to current photoperiod when it has reached a certain age.
I don't know of any stuporsonics grown under 24/0, so I can't say if there are some individuals that do autoflower. But since most growers are using 18/6 it will flower on you! ![]() Based on what I've heard and personal expreriences I'd say Stuporsonic is not an autoflowerer. It's an early plant which only needs a short vegetative period and flowers when the dark period is longer than 3-4 hours a day. I think there are some mutants in the gene pool that start flowering automatically but don't all strains. It's not caused by an autoflower gene as in ruderalis or lowryder. This is obvious in LR X Stuporsonic hybrids, which don't flower in 24/0 lighting. This is what Stuporsonic used to be a few years back, and still is in the resulting offspring. I heard that the seeds sold today have lost most of the early flowering, or should I say semi autoflower traits. Here up north seeds bought this year didn't even start flowering.
