Ripper Or Leo? And the difference is What?

Lots of threads on here about both.

I've had less than joyous experiences with either. So to this (legal in my state) grower ther is no diff. Both operate with an 'us or them' mentality. Both will flat kill you for what we hav and do.
Basically I hav turned both cheeks. Gave peace a chance. Walked in ther Jackboots(well had em on my neck anyway)

So the difference is??????

i've been ripped, and i've had plants snagged by leo - my thoughts on the difference is one wanted my plants, the other wanted my ass in a sling. the plants were just a means to an end to the cops, where they were the entirety of concern for the rippers.

both are bastards in their actions, but one difference that also stands out - I didn't have to suffer the indignity of paying the rippers a salary to fuck with me. the cops, i did. and do.

I actually have much more human empathy for a ripper.

When I read a rip-gone-wrong horror story, I feel sad about the social environment that most likely created the scenario.

When I read a cop dies in the newspaper, my instinct is pure satisfaction. I'm not proud or ashamed of that, I'm just reporting..

I'd elaborate, but it's not the thread for that. It's just my opinion of how the world works. To rob people of their hard-earned cash and do genuinely immoral work for a living- all while your tough guy persona permeates exclusively through the power of your badge- fuck you. Cops, specifically DEA, represent the epitome of what it means to be a failure as a man to me.

I think there is a saying of something like "we despise most in others of what we fear in ourselves." I remember getting actively recruited in college by DEA at career fairs in university. I remember thinking how easy the lifestyle would have been. Coulda' made a killing on the side ripping like they all do, etc. That sort of represents, to me, the worst possible temptation I could ever succumb to. Not that I really thought about doing it, but you know what I mean.

There is nuance in most all things. But I think the Drug War is about as clear, cut and dry immoral as it gets. To do awful shit with the stench of public respectability makes me want to puke in my soup.

lol another slippery slope

but in the :big picture: cops get a paycheck

here they go after pot heads here cause the alternative, crack and dope heads are more dangerous, so much that they don't patrol the hood where those drugs are worked

so the poor get poorer and from their ranks grow the destitute and the lawless and of course the rippers

rippers are products of delusion and desperation and just like cops they pay the karmic price in the end also

i dislike and feel badly for them both, but i feel worst for the victims who themselves victimize no one

im glad im self policing and self sufficient so i don't pay the karmic price for either and i try to share as much as i can to keep the measure of contempt around me to a minimum

its the best you can do is hope the measure of healing your meds bring you somehow radiates beyond you and to those around you

all this human pain and suffering because we love a plant that teaches us about love

something fundamentally wrong with it all

Hammerhead has completed 5 grow reports. Click to see my Grow Reports
Killing someone for your grow will end your life as well. That's not an option. The best you can do is run them off. Security is very important if you can get a warning that someone is fucking around in your backyard you can usually scare them off. If they know you have plants they will be back. I have had a few go missing cant say whom it was leo rippers??. I have put up motion detectors all over the place. This will scare them off most of the time. You can also add sound that will wake you so you can go check. You dont want to put the sound outside to wake the block up just you. Outdoor growing is risky for sure thats why I dont do it anymore.

Leo wants your ass and your plants. Rippers just want your plants. If they get your plants you can be sure they will be back next year to try again.

I wish I agreed that there was such a thing as a karmic price, Weird. Sad to say I don't. I'd find much more comfort in the world if I believed that, though.
