Breeding webs - cubing without clones

Just wonder if this is possible, ie when you cant keep a clone going for months, is it possible to cube with seeds, so I suppose in effect you are crossing aunts/nephews or brother/ sister, rather than father/daughter.

I just wonder if this eventually messes up the line. My F1 LowRyder2 x Low Afghanis were great, with distinct split into 2 phenotypes, however the F2s have come out rubbish and I wonder if it is because of this, or maybe some other reason as I only had one male pollen to use, so maybe it was just a bad male.

i tend to breed with seed mate
your f2's will see a greater expression of pheno's
due to your resesive genes showing up i think dont quote me
which isnt a bad thing from f2's id grow as many seed as possible only keeping the ones closest to your f1 phenos
and then breeding back to the p1 parents if possible

i feel that breeding with seed rather than clone gives you a greater pheno/Gene expression
and this in turn more scope and selective potential in the line

im only new to the breeding scene but you are in the right place
Donald or Moonunit could give you a better idea mate
drop em a pm

web on web gives you web most times.

web on non web gives you a minimal amount of web offspring, then refer to above ^^^

the recessive trait is there, but it can be bred i think for a couple of generations (known first hand) through web on web breeding.

at least that is what i know. good luck!

Thanks FlynHawyn and Squiggles..Thats great, I'm only breeding in order to keep these lines going as I know they are so rare. I have got 1 HWI x Duck, some pure Duck and some C99xWebbed Indica. From what you say I'll keep some of the original seeds then, and use them as a parent to back cross the later generations to, hopefully this helps keep the vigour and webs in the line...They are fabulous plants.
