High! Today it's a great day My two Purple Passion packs arrived and as soon as i can I will start my adventure with them. The thing is that there's zero info. about this seedline and I assume come's from the early DJ's work's with Dutch Passion, so all info you can bring guys will be greatly appreciatted!

whats up ras and my friend bohemp , ahh purple passion it seems to come up here every few years. I have heard of it, seen it grown, heard smoke reports, but never had the pleasure myself.

You are correct that it is from DJ Shorts work "with" dutch passion. heres a quote from someone on another site with the passion clone that makes it way around the PNW...

I received this amazing "Purple Passion" clone while visiting a grow class at Oregon Green Free, a non-profit community for cannabis patients and medical growers. The "Purple Passion" has since become one of the main strains in my garden. I just love how the trichomes almost completely engulf this strain. The longer you let it flower, the darker the color gets. Another grower that I'm close to has been able to get this bud to turn dark... dark... purple by letting it go 70-75 days. These are some pics of the clone half way done, in bloom, from one of my old cycles at my old house...What you described sounds like this cut. I'll do a smoke report with pics when I crop my next one. I need the experience to be fresh in my mind to do it accurately. But it is very medicinal. Also, very hashy. Tickles your throat. The genetics are a mystery to me. It is probably just a strain that was renamed at one point. But, I know that DJ Short used to have a Purple Passion sativa strain. Dutch Passion used to distribute it under their brand. So there is a chance that what you tried was DJ's Purple Passion.

By the early 1990's I was extremely interested in the burgeoning seed market developing in Holland. I had known about the seed banks since 1983 and was always only interested in obtaining more pure, land-race varieties. Unfortunately, there were only hybrid crosses ever available at the time and I had more than enough of my own to work with. By 1993 I finally made the pilgrimage to Amsterdam where I made new connections. In 1994 I connected with the first company that I worked with in Europe. By 1995 I was supplying this company with seed-stock both for sale and for breed work. I had contracted with this company to produce Blueberry, Flo and Blue Velvet.

The first company I worked with in Europe sprouted only 25 seeds of each of these varieties to make selections from. Other than supplying seed-stock, I was only minimally involved in the selection process. I did get to see the mother and father plants alive, however, the selection process had already been done prior by others. Unfortunately, my relationship with this company was short-lived as all the owner really wanted was my seed-stock. Once he had it I became a very low priority in his scheme. In all honesty I was never paid one red cent for any of the Blueberry (or “Flow” or Blue Velvet) that company number one in Europe produced (plus having over 3,000 seeds that I produced completely ripped off).

Needless to say this lack of concern prompted me to seek other possibilities that culminated in my relationship with the second company I worked with in Europe. At this company about 50 seeds of each variety were sprouted, but I was once again mainly left out of the selection process except for sampling a number of finished products and making selections based on those (which is enough, actually). I never got to see any of the live plants from this selection process at company number two in Europe. I also contributed seed-stock for three more varieties there; Blue Moonshine, Blue Heaven and Purple Passion. The owner of this company was satisfied with paying me the minimum amount I would consider adequate. Fortunately, part of the deal was my ability to remain independent and work with whomever else I pleased.

whats up with some f2's ras??? the guy i quoted was working on a f2 (which he called a bx for some reason???) where he ran a pack of purple passion seeds and was supposed to hit up his pp clone with the stud from the pack. he had a good one too, I'll try and find the pic, but I never heard about it again.

Im really hoping for something special for ya ras, remember these were in the same line as the original flo, Blue Heaven, Blue Velvet and Blueberry the way pre2k generation Im especially interested in some male selection if you have the room, Id personally love to see an "f2" (wouldnt it really be more of an f6 or f7 considering these lines were orignally from the f5 and f6 gen?) of the purple passion if it is deemed worthy of further work.

to be honest, the right pix reminds me of some phenos grown indoors (7 years ago or so...). i hope you gonna make some seeds bro!!! i had 1 pack left, tried poppin it 2 years ago, but none germed :( hope you have better luck!!!
