According to this the IBL has the ECSD mixed in here and there in the lineage but the final product is not ECSD x SD IBL.

Only down fall of the Alpha Diesel is I think Rez said way back that it was not suitable for breeding. Because the Alpha D is closer to the ECSD it would also be closer to the sensitivities of the real ECSD clone.

Ive got 4 SD IBL Dec 2010 plants in flower right now. Two girls about a month deep, and two unidentified that hit flower 3-4 days ago.

i still have the clone and have 3 sdibl's in veg now.......I also ran the alpha before I aquired the clone......there is a few phenos I had in Alpha and one of them was spot on to the clone.......one had the clones structure lanky stretcher and bud structure the swollen calyxs stacking up but had a fruity diesel smell not lemon citrus either buit berry kinda bland taste.........dont know where that fruit came from maybe the super skunk has a recessive trait that shows up every now and again......but the alpha has deff. got the true sour funk in there

I have 4 packs of sd ibl on deck, one of which I've gifted to a cancer patient friend if mine. I'm not really stressing sifting through to find a real sour; I just need patience and time.

Fwiw: I recently harvested some CDSD and took the Chem Dom at 70 days and let the sour Dom go 77. The Chem Dom seemed to yield more, at first, but that extra week really swelled up the sour doms into those nice fat calyxes we all want. She could have gone up to another week too by evidence of white hairs continuously popping out. Anyways From my experience with sours the swell really packs on during the latent stages of maturity, it takes patience and I think many here are looking for a grail from a ten pack: yielder, with a quick finish, and the classic sour taste and smell we all know and love. and don't get me wrong $180 is a pretty penny if it takes more than a pack to find a keeper, but it wasn't too long ago when I remember $300+ packs. Like the nycd I got from soma, it was good, but I never found a proper representation. Win some you lose some....all part of the seed game.

My two pennies anyways.

P.S. I said this before, but more clarity about parental lineage would only help situations like this, the fact it's somewhat of an unknown makes many hesitant to continue pursuit of an obvious commodity. Good luck hunting everyone.

Well, it seems that both Alpha and Omega are something crossed to ECSD ("the same mother").

Since Omega is ECSD x SD IBL, I would venture Alpha is ECSD x SDv3.

Maybe SD IBL is Omega Diesel incrossed?

I hope someone get's a proper sour plant from the winter release.....how funny is it that the man himself is no where to be found when the shit hits the fan....i guess that 50k from the release makes it easy to duck & hide......oh let me guess he's on vacation, where theres no net.....yea right...

Honestly i don't want no freebs, or to be put on no beta list...all i want is an explanation & some advice on if we should even look for a real SD to be released ever again?....mabey it's time to focus on the Chem & the OG.....no shame in that....

I have some 4SD seeds i've been saving... looks like it's time to go into the vault.....


Again sorry for my negative vibe, i spent a lot of time working with these ibls to only be let down .. & let down big time......i know rez is far better than this....


edit:i did get some heavy yeilding ibl phenos, none of which are even close to a proper sour plant..

i believe the alpha has been proven to incross and outcross just fine. I do remember rez saying he didn't think it would or something, but it seems to after all. T3x was telling us about his cross, if i not mistaken. Or one that rez made with an alpha male. I believe a couple of others here have made some f2's that turned out good before.

Also the alpha is v3 male for a fact.

im sure he'll pop in and say something- seems to be a stand up guy with replacements. hopefully your 4sds will turn out better, i got some on ice from winter. im 11 for 11 on the tw kush - i know thats not sds but at least the germs rates there. anyway,if dont work out-suck or dont pop, i still got my mob boss. I know those are straight up fire without a doubt. every grow ive seen shows those are top notch. I know it sucks,but im sure he'll help ya out.
