My 2010 Sour Diesel IBL report (so far)

8 males, all very uniform
2 females

1 short, almost no stretch, minimal side branching, long stems on small leafs, no sour smell just yet

1 medium in height moderate branching, HUGE fan leafs, shorter stems on leafs, no sour smells yet

both seem to be very light feeders, Im at about 32 days 12/12 and Im getting claw leaf with just plain soil and tap water. These seem like they would make the best SOG plants.

If no sour is found in these I'll be trying to grab a pack of Alpha D when it comes out.

il update this in a few weeks though...as of now they have ZERO smell..like wet plants. i took a single female to rougly 75 days last cycle but i think it was a bad pheno, she looked like sour but had absolutely zero smell, a little bit of wax but no fuel...people still liked smoking her though...west coast "dour"..

just kind of interesting because my SFV OG kush is only 1 month into flower and already smells like some real lemon pinesol OG kush..and my CP smells like candy purple...viet growers could pick these early and sell them for 200 an OZ lol..

abja your Sour is amazing i need some more of that!!! should have just gotten a cut of that 4sd and skipped the bean poppin pheno hunting...

i also have a Rez Chem x Sour cut that i was gifted...maybe she will fair better..still in veg on deck for next round.

I've got 2 Chem Sours right now along side the SD IBL's and they are packing on the weight much quicker. I think they might even finish around 9 weeks or so which would be great because I have been after some 5 star herb with a faster finishing time.

My Chem Sours are branchy but stay relatively short, they might need some longer veg time next time around.

Im absolutly with ya Prop.....my phenos only have a slight SD smell....now, i know smell isn't the main priority, but Damn i want some serious funk if it's to be called SourD!

I also agree on the SVF gal.....i've got a cross, SFVxBS from SOL that fuckn rocks....this pheno smells just like the OG(similar to SD) & has best high & taste for my couchlock ass ....sheeez the winner & at only 1/4 the cost of the ibl....

yea i have SFVxBS on deck in the fridge...gonna have to pop those. i was disapointed in the blubonic to say the least but thats another breeder....as far as these 2010 SD IBL...for all the hype/camping/ and 180 a pack price they better be some stanky fuely funk!! and nobody can use the "light leak" or "you're just a bad grower" because ive got some top notch growing right next to these babies!

hoping to hear from some others who have ran the winter 2010 release and hear what their thoughts are..maybe im jumping to conclusions to early...these ladies could put come to life any week now.

The difference being seed vs. clone.....Hope you took clones of the SD....the seed run should fill in later, as mentioned, but the clone run will give much more intense smell/production.....


IME clone run has always outperformed the mother/seed plant.

my Chem Ibl is spot on the original ChemD clone; the original seed plant(3 month+veg, scrogged, 12oz) was just as potent and flavorful as the clones flowered after.

just popped my second pack of SourD Ibl; got 3 females that i vegged to 12 inches. been flowering for 16 days now under a 1000watter. first pack i got 4 females, flowered to 75 days, super long flush.one was very short, the other three were similar, very stretchy. they were all quality smoke, and had that sour D flavor,but none of it was anything like my ECSD clone only back in 2005-7. that shit was on par with my current ChemD Ibl. super dank, full of trichs, would stick to a wall if u press a bud to it.

hoping for that one super dank Pheno in these next three females. clones are cut, plants are flowering.

but yeah, Prop215; seems watered down. ive seen a buddy grow the v3 a few years back, it was amazing, as well as the Alpha D; straight fire. i smoked a pheno of that CDxSD from last years drop that was spot on ECSD clone bud. perfect representation smoke and visual appeal. been thinking about pheno hunting w/ around 50 seeds.

I think the ChemDXSD has the most promise, for something with the sour/chem funk, high yield, and quick finish. Only got to see one seed flower, but it looked done at 65 days and ripe by 70. The smell was ridiculous and the look was obscene. I bought three or four more packs to dig through.

I keep growing my sour, because even though it takes 70-73 days. The smell, taste, and high are all there.

The 4SD'S are nice, but my favorite is not the best yielder. It tastes like what I imagine the Chem 4 with a hint of sour would taste like. The other ones #1 & #4 taste and look like electric green sours, just not as smack you in the face with the smell imo. The #7 & #9 taste and smell more rank, but are stockier and squatter. The #5, which is my favorite, is small, branches lots, is more fickle, but tastes and smells amazing. I pretty much grow it exclusively for myself, which is rare. All are actually really good, but my sour cut smashes. I imagine that's why it was shared, selected, and passed. That's why I keep it around.
