Good questions.

Well the 8 females I flowered out were selected prior to flowering based firstly on vigor, growth rates, & general overall health as seedlings & young plants compared to others in the same conditions grown in amended organic soil. I cull any weak seedlings and spindly plants so only the "Fittest" make it to seed stage. The 8 parents were also chosen to represent different phenotypes you would possibly find in the old original Swt #4 line ranging from very Indica to very Sativa leaning phenotypes at least in structure, some 50/50 types and even one very BB leaning mother plant that went all totally purple at the end. There is one of the more Sativa pheno's I called the "rainbow pheno" because she had such pretty pinky/purple/yellow leaf colors at finish and she made quite alot of seeds (over 1000 actually) she has a very strong hashy sweet taste and is probably the strongest tasting out of all of them since Swt is normally a lighter tasting smoke.

To be honest with you though all of my herb was dried very very well to the point of being literally bone dry like the mojave as it was fully seeded and this is the proper way to handle the buds before harvesting the seeds so I was not able to jar up still squishy semi-moist buds in the fridge like I would normally do to preserve the aroma and tastes more but even so it tastes great when smoked and is very easy going, expansive, and smells incensey when exhaled. Sweet Tooth normally has a light hashy & sort of sugary taste when smoked and when enjoyed in a vaporizer can definitely taste just heavenly with a strong citrus twang to it along with all kinds of other delcious tastes. If flavor is your thing then a vape is the only way to go and if you make some dry sift with it and vape that well it just might be the best thing you ever taste!

The smoke is very smooth and not harsh whatsoever (when grown & flushed properly) and even with the bud being so super dry and being all broken up from harvesting the seeds it's still very nice to roll a joint with and just one can definitely get a few people a nice pleasant fun buzz. It's all so good in effect and unique that every single time I think I find my favorite after smoking it for a few days straight then I go on to the next one and that takes the spot & just seems to keep rotating through the different phenotypes so I have given up on trying to declare a "winner" although the mother plant in the 5 gal smartpot was my favorite plant and the most frosty. She also gives a very seductive euphoric buzz that is great for sex and really gets the ladies going, good social smoke & no anxiety.

I can tell you this though the Indica pheno's are very potent and give you oldschool perma-grin and the slant eye like nothing else it's just happy stone to bone no worries in the world type herb with that familiar comfortable Sweet Tooth high plenty of head & body to it really almost the perfect buzz with no anxiety at all and major munchies plus you will sleep great and wake up nice & refreshed afterwards. Since all the packs of the Swt #4 IBL are evenly mixed from the different mothers that were used it should give everyone a chance to find their own keepers and get plenty of genetic diversity in each and every pack because the last thing I wanted to do was limit this line even though it is inbred to the now 5th generation I have made certain to use different males and unique females so that bottlenecking is kept to a minimum. There will be plenty of Grapefruityness though and that is guaranteed, almost all the plants will have the GF aroma it's very fixed in the line along with mega frosty trich coverage! Expect a flowering period of 7 to 9 weeks depending on the conditions (like day/night temps, Co2 or not, overall health, ect) and most phenotypes being ready right at about 8 weeks like their mommies were that made them.

Thanks for the responses. Couple more questions if you don't mind... Are you keeping mothers and fathers of each generation? Are you using open pollination? Thinking about any crosses in the future with any absolutely stand out Tooth males and females? I was thinking a cross to Deep chunk might make a nice hashy sticky treat with a little more incense factor. Although, crossing to a sativa might be a nice choice as well... maybe a joint project with Mosca Negra with some nice C99 individuals to be crossed to? Just throwing some things out there that I have had rolling around in my head as interesting genetics to pair with ST Peace!

Clones of all of the mothers used were kept after they were revegged. Some may be used to make more delicious organic salad toppers in the future depending upon further testing and depending upon a few other factors. I know I will definitely be keeping that super frosty GF aroma Swt mother from the 5 gal smartpot around and definitely keeping the very Indica one from the back right corner that had very dense thick danky citrus buds. The most Indica specimen with the super dark SPG looking leafs was very top cola dominant as well and not nearly as stretchy and branchy as the others so she is very interesting in those traits and being way different from the others in bud structure. I think she could grow some solid towers in a SOG table from clones there is no doubt about it.

The one plant that was the most stretchy and had a very sweet pink grapefruity candy smell has cured out nicely to a menthol, pepperminty, & pink grapefruit aroma and she smokes very nicely but was very stretchy and did not produce the most mature seeds. She made ALOT of seeds but did not seem to want to ripen fully at the end when the others were big dark brown & totally mature. A bean or two from her is in every pack though those are the salad toppers that have lighter more ghost stripes on the seeds and they are big but look less mature overall even though they went over 8 weeks on the very healthy mother like the others. They tested out to be very good for sprouting and eating so it only made sense to give people access to her since she popped up in the population and had that very pink sweet candy scent going on in flower. Now of course her offspring won't be exactly just like her but might prove to be very promising in aroma & taste with the also very sweet candy GF primary male that was used to produce them. Like I said though she was very stretchy I had to actually snap her over to keep a somewhat even canopy and she responded to that like a champ and just shot up side branches to finish into what were nearly top colas at the end. Very unique sweet menthol/peppermint candy aroma to her, but yet still very Grapefruity background overall.

I saved lots of pollen from that big amazing stud male that was harvested fresh, dried, & frozen. Actually even his big top "cola" flower cluster was dried totally bone dry after he was all done and saved (full of tons of yellow pollen) in a big double freezer bag so if I do another round of the Swt #4 IBL I will likely just blow that all over the ladies before I start getting into the other pollen. That male had trichomes all over his stems upon close inspection and has the most delicious candy GF aroma he really was odiciferous in the best kind of Sweet Toothy way. So about the crosses, I did use that exact male to hit a pure longer flowering Hawaiian Snow which is a pure Sativa with genetics from Hawaii & Laos in it and I also hit the very stanky and medicinal God's Gift S1 (OG Kush x GDP) which was pure Indica in structure & aroma while the Hawaiian Snow was very fruity & hazey plus just sticky as a gummy bear. You had mentioned a DC cross with Sweet Tooth and I am all for it man, have at it! The Sweet Tooth is very sticky and frosty to begin with so they would be a match made in heaven! As far as anything with C99 well honestly I feel like Dutchgrown has that covered for now although I do have the F2's of the original Brothers Grimm Cindy 99 so if I ever ran out of interesting things to do that is always an option I guess.

I plan to further work these lines more in the future with either some incrosses using select parents out of the F1's or maybe some backcrossing to the pollen of that big stud Swt #4 male. It really all depends on what I see come out of the progency and from test tasters of the salad toppings but ultimately this whole endeavor is and was about the Tooth, the whole Tooth and nothing but the Tooth. So help me God!

Coolio. Its too bad you didn't save that stud. Good males, I mean REALLY good males are hard to find. Hawaiian Snow cross sounds very interesting, might produce some very interesting tastes and smells for those salad toppers.

There should be a few mix packs available soon with the next drop of Swt #4 IBL with the last of the 'Tropical Tooth" in it from the F1 generation cross. When I say I saved plenty of the pollen from that male I mean PLENTY. Enough to last, and more than I will ever need!

You have to remember I have plenty of Swt #4 stock and even some ORIGINALS from SOL along with a good number of the first incrosses I made some 8 or 9 years ago now. There are many more big stud males to be found and maybe even better ones. You have to remember that the Swt #4 was the only strain (that I know of) which received pollen input from the Sweet Tooth BX2 P1 male TWICE which was Breeder Steve's legendary and well proven male who championed such strains as LUI, Sweet Tooth #3 & #4, & Blockhead so good males in this line certainly are not very hard to come by. If you need a great male, these Swt #4 IBL salad toppers would be a prime place to look for him and the females sure ain't too shabby either!

Ahhh that was the male that fathered all of those.... gah. Was that male ever passed from steve or did it die with his cannabis breeding career? Regardless, I can't wait to see more.

Breeder Steve unfortunately lost that male in Switzerland when the SOL facility was raided by Swiss authorities due to changes in Swiss laws regarding Cannabis seeds. But is surely lives on today in part inside many of the legendary strains he produced while there doing his selections from huge numbers of plants. I would venture to say that due to the fact that Sweet Tooth #4 received the pollen input from that Swt BX2 P1 male 2 times (once as Swt #3 to start and later to make it Swt #4) some very similiar examples to him can likely be found in this line. The big candy GF stud male I used may very well be one of these since it is mostly genetically comprised of that very Swt BX2 male. The "BX2" suffix meaning of course it was from the original Sweet Tooth F1 backcrossed twice to the original SPG parent. That is where that now very famous male originated and without him there would have been no Swt #3, no LUI, no Blockhead, and of course no Swt #4. But he did exist and now here we are talking about it still today over 10 years later. Awesome.
