Sorry I couldn't help myself but to create this thread in the hopes of gaining Rez's attention. For those who haven't experienced this landrace untainted by Dutch hands you will be in for one hell of a treat if Rez decides to use it in his breeding program. Since I can't send everyone here and their mom a sample the best I can do is describe it. In DJ Shorts words:

Durban Poison - the South African. I must say, in all honesty, that all of the South African herb I have tried was a bit too powerful and speedy. I always get that heart-racing effect similar to the Jamaican. However, many people enjoy a good "carnival-ride" herb, and Durban is a very powerful choice. I grew Durban in the 1980's. The plants were uniform in both structure and finished product. Although production was good, the flavor and odor was sharp, astringent, chemical and burned the nose and sinuses. The high was intense and strong but not notably enjoyable. I dropped Durban from any further breeding work. ( dj short in "Cultivating Exceptional Cannabis", p. 84 )

Comment:- When dj says that Durban was "not notably enjoyable," he is referring to its over-whelming strength and its "heart-racing effect" or speediness. These qualities, he readily admits, though, are in high-demand by the true "carnies-at-heart", or those who love a real trippy "roller-coaster" ride; but not by himself. He breeds, rather, for a more easy-goin', happy-go-lucky type high, with less of a "roller-coaster" effect. With this said, I'm going to start a poll with what you guys would like to see it crossed with.
