The tub is 12 gallons, and the drill bit was somewhat undersized. I really didn't care what size it was because after I drilled it, I tapped each hole with a 10-32 tap. Since I was only running thru PVC, the predirlled hole size really didn't make much difference. If I do another, I won't bother to tap, I'll just under-drill the hole slightly. Since both pieces are plastic, they screw together fine without the threads. No sealant was needed at all. Besides if it leaks a drop, what does it matter? It's just going to drip back down into the reservoir anyway. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the kind words. I try to remember the old Chinese proverb that says something about "the journey being as important as the destination". I've always gotten as much joy and relief from building my garden and tending it as I have from the med's it produces.

![]() Hey everyone, Thanks for stopping by. If its your first time here or your 25th I really appreciate your visit. It's been a tough year for me both health wise and garden wise as a result. I've had starts that I was unable to keep up with, and growing problems out of my control. However, in spite of it all, I never lost faith and enjoyed every moment spent with my garden. I'm up and running once again so I figured I should throw up a few pic's. As always I'm glad to hear your thoughts and questions. So take a look at my hopeful "Mom-To-BE" ......... Sprout almost died so I left it outside in a stream for a few days. ![]() About two to three week after being revived. Another couple of weeks & it split to two main branches. ![]() Looking sad at a friends home. Had to be relocated for a while due to major home repair work at my place. ![]() This is her currently, back at home in tyhe box. That's Jr. catching a bit of shade. ![]()

OK, so to continue where I left off............
Today, I finally got around to taking some cuts for clones. The Mother plant is now under 12/12. If it turns out to be female, I'll grow out and flower her and the clones. If not, then everything goes into the compost pile and I start all over from seed. Lets hope for the best. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Take care everyone!

Pipedream,
Thanks for the great info! You set the standard! I have a couple of questions.... 1) Does the air stay on all the time or cycle off with the light? 2) I plan on using a 150w hps bulb in a cabinet very similar, will 4 feet of vertical grow space be enough or should I give a little more space? 3) I plan on starting with some bag seed I have been saving, or should I order some seeds, where did you get the Jamaican Sativa? What is your approach when starting from seed...lighting cycles...nute amounts etc. 4) Can you clone from plants in the veg chamber or take some clippings from a plant when you harvest the bud? So far I bought a really nice all wood armoire that matches our furniture by searching craiglist for 175$. The first thing I did was put in a cam lock bought at ACE for 7$. Ordered a 150w hps security light and replacement bulb from e-conolight 58$. Ordered all the air equipment like hoses, valves, pump, tubing, air stones and tees from petsupply 40$. Found some cool little 5 liter containers from the 99 cent store, they have green lids with clear bottoms so I used black electrical tape darken em up also from the dollar store 8$. I sure wish I could have found the ones you got, those are cool. I looked at every dollar store in my area with no luck. I ordered a tds and ph meter from Ebay 38$. I still need to get the nutes, hydroton, net pots, timer, and build an odor scrubber. I am taking my time to try and start off on the "best foot forward" so to say. I really admire your setup and thank you for the great info. |
