My sick White Satin :( My budding White Satins :)
Okay lets start off with my sick baby. My biggest best looking female all of a sudden starting curling downwards
same feeding routine, same light, same medium. It's getting worse and it's starting to look like death is near. Any idea's?Here is the good news. My other WS ladies are looking really pretty and smelling great. Here they are. Day 29 of 12/12 These plants are my first grow and I made a few mistakes, light burn, fert burn, heat stress, you name it these girls been threw it and pulled threw. Can't wait to try your other strains. That hash berry looks amazing. Peace. |

looks like it could be overwatering.... the only other time i've seen the "ram horn" leaves is when it's to much nitrogen, but it can't be that because there is yellowing on the lower fan leaves... also the yellowing on the growth tips can be fixed with the addition of epson salt... 1tsp/gal
your first grow, they're lookin good

But don't worry... approaching death looks FAR worse. They should still pull through and get nice buds if you can minimize or stop the stress factors you listed. Heat is not a problem for Mandalas if they are not suffering from salt build-up in the soil as well. As you may know, when you overfertilize the high salinity in the soil draws water OUT of the plant by virtue of osmosis in the root zone. So basically your plant is dehydrating. If temps are high you are aggrevating this problem because the plant "sweats" to cool off and needs a good supply of water for this in the vascular tissue. First of all pls read our article "Fertilizing Wisely" (located as a sticky at the top of the board). The leaf curl and leaf burn are probably from too much feeding. Pot size looks good so they probably have enough nutes till harvest anyway. For now just give them pH adjusted water as required. Hope this info helps you out and calms your nerves, Mike

It cant be over feeding. The mistakes I listed were all made as seedlings. I got temps and feeding to where you want them. This plant was my best looking plant upto a week ago...
Thanks for the feed back. Last edited by TheGreenBastard; 01-30-2006 at 10:47 PM.. |

And have you checked how heavy the pot is? The leaf curl can also be from overwatering like blackfin mentioned. Plants react to their environment so something must be causing these symptoms. Rgdg the latest photo: it looks like the plant is in another pot. Did you transplant it?

Yep transplanted all of them. They were drying out and the medium would get hard as fack every other day or so. I moved them into milk crates to finish off but these symptoms started before the move. I feed them 1 week into flowering some Bloom Terra 11-31-15 at half dose, then a couple weeks later gave them some Alaska Mor-Bloom 0-10-10. so as you can see i've been very light with the ferts. With a light watering in between. hmmmmmm

this might sound like a dumb question, but did you put drainage holes in the bottom of the bags... that could be the reason for overwatering

well than, just let them dry out... they'll come back in no time... it's got to be overwaterin..... also next time only transplant within a week of initiating flower... and welcome to the IC you'll like it here, it's like a big family
