I should be good, as long as Simon leaves the strains alone. He has a habit of 'tweaking' things, when things were fine the way they were.

I'll have to disagree. I've grown Double Dutch and Biddy Early(outside). Both strains have met my needs and then some. Biddy is the best outdoor strain I have run so far. I have a short grow season, BTW. I've heard good reports of their other strain as well.
I hope he leaves things be.
I will say, the pre 2000 Chronic is alive in DD. Chronic fans might like to see that worked somehow.
Simon has tweaked, and then un-tweaked strains in the past, because the "tweaking" didn't turn out so well, i.e. Kali Mist. He also added AK to the Chronic mix to boost potency, not sure how that one worked out..... I wonder if that is the reason for the "Pre-2000 Chronic" reference.
What's up with AK as well. She used to be DANK, reviews as of late have been mixed.

AK is still some of the best shit around. Don't let a few mixed reviews fool you. Also, according to Simon there never was any "tweaking" with AK-47. That was just a myth. Simon said he has no idea what people were talking about when they said it was changed.

It's the same old dank that people have been getting for years.

PS. Serious Seeds website says that Gerrit has turned all of his strains over to Simon. I don't think it's a partnership. I think Gerrit is getting out of the business and wanted to leave his life's work to a trusted grower.

i can't speak to tweaking or myths, but i ordered a pack of regular ak47 w/ hopes of finding a male...11 seeds, 10 females...and this was what happened to the 'male' a few weeks into flowering.



i realize this would probably fit into the category of 'good problems' for most folks, and...i aint bitching, the females i got were largely uniform and good producers.

just sayin'...maybe somebody is getting a little too high in the seed packaging department. if those weren't fem'd beans, maybe i should be buying lottery tickets.

I got 9/15 female seeds on one regular pack and 8/15 on the other.

AK-47 has good female/male ratios.
