Some Ducks In a Closet

I have 3 duck females in the flower closet right now. These are the start of my early finishing webbed project.

This one got hit with afghan erdpurt pollen (3 males)

This one was hit with Brown Super 07 x Danish Gold pollen (3 autoflowering males)

the smaller one in the left of the second pic had some male parts right at the beginning of flower caused by a lightleak. plucked them off and they didnt return, but i wont use her for breeding.

Pics are from a week or so ago, before pollination. Will take some more pics soon.

Lovely Pics. What lighting cycle you using and how powerful> People have said they are hard to flower indoors but yours look fine. Do they have lemony furniture polish smell? I hope you can, also keep a pure duck line of seeds going, They are so rare it seems! Will there be any seeds available for sale?

In last picture, right hand stem, 2nd node up.... that's not a little male flower peeking out from under the bud there is it?

LiteUp -The flower cab has 2 125w dual spectrum fluoros but the ducks only get half of that. They are on a 12/12 lighting schedule now, but I had it at 11/13 to jump start their flowering.

They are starting to smell really lemony now. I really wish i had more pure Ducksfoot seeds to do an open pollination. I had low germ rates and some damping off and ended up with 3 out of 11 survival rate. I still have 4 seeds left, so i will at least try to make some more.

It will be a little while before I can make the f2s to search for webs. I have root aphids, bad. Gonna start fresh next round after a thorough cleaning. Plus I have been meaning to tear down my cab and build a new one in a different room. Eventually, when i get them to f3 I will send some into the bay.

Thanks, I'm impressed they look so well on not much light, I think some people have said they like the CFLs, yours seem to prove it.

Good luck with your seeds, I'll keep an eye out, let us know when they get to seedbay!

Sorry to hear about the root aphids. I know Nil Nat works pretty good for fungus gnat larvae - its a bacteria, so all organic. For the price its well worth a try (get Nil Nat not fungus gnat off though, Nil Nat doesn't smell and the other one stinks awful). the best thing about Nil Nat is you can use it straight off just watered into the soil, as a preventative. I've discovered often the eggs of the pests are already in the soil you buy.
