Strawberry Diesel 99 - times & hermies?

From people who have actually grown it, what are the finishing times for SD99? I'd like actual finishing times, not theoretical ones. And has anyone noticed hermies in the line?

Probably 60-65 days , i've got two at 32 days , starting to really chunk up , and quite sparkly. No signs of hermies or anything weird. Run em if you got em ! Great smells so far too.

Hey Ganesh,

Ive read all the threads in your section. My one SD99 female is hermin real bad, but she is frosty as a motherfucker. The smell is unbelievable, even better than the SD, a subtle berryish aroma. Intoxicating! 6 weeks in now, and nanners popping up everywhere. I really dont want to let her run too much longer at the risk that she pollinates my SD babe. Seeing enough red hairs and cloudy pistils to wonder if she wouldnt be done by next week, but it sounds pretty crazy to me that anything other than straight C99 could finish that fast. Ill consider taking pics of her before harvest

Hey LurkerDude,

Im really sorry for that.
It is known that Strawberry Diesel can throw bananas late in flower, but it seems you are experiencing heavy hermie traits.

Are your grow conditions above 'average' ?
pH, temperature and most important: no light leeks?

Maybe the bananas are sterile. Can you see any seeds?

It seems you hold a really nice specimen, so i suggest you to run her once again with better (if possible) grow conditions.

Keep us posted on this and share some pics with us if you please.
I wish you good luck.

Thanks for the reply Ganesh. The grow conditions are quite good. Ran cindy in there before, no probs. My SD is showing a banana too. I think they are indeed sterile, thankfully for that- at least I havent seen any pollen yet. I will try to take pix tommorow.

I had 2 SD99 plants. The other one, I thought was a male. I was trying to flower him to make a few seeds- until I noticed that on one branch, just one branch, was female pistils. It turns out that it was actually a male-dominant hermie, first time I see that. Minus that one branch I would have thought for sure I was looking at a regular male. The second one, the one still alive, was doing fine, until I started seeing these bananas popping out around week 4. Ive ripped a couple off, but havent found any pollen in them so Im hoping it'll be ok. Ill try to take pics tommorow. The flowering time has me confused, im seing about 40% red pistils, and under the microscope its mostly cloudy, some clear, and a couple amber trichomes. Judging by that Id say she has one or two weeks to go, but that would put her at 49-56 days.

Well im not a patient man, so here we go. Day 45, SD99. You can some bananas in the last 2 shots, but there is a lot more then what you see. I think every branch has one or two.

No problems on this end with the Strawberry Diesel 99. Some pheno's looked like they could be taken as early as 60-65 days. Some of the larger yielding looking ones in my situation will go 70-75 which to me had more Diese/Hazeyl look to them. Even with a lil stress from heavy feedings they still hold up.

Thanks for stopping by Gsizzle, you had some real nice looking girls in your thread. I cannot afford to keep a hermie around, although I would have loved to give her a second run. However, I did make a few seeds, hitting her with pollen from a SDIX male. Not sure if I'll get a chance to run them but I would have loved to see how that cross turns out. The C99 definately added a lot of frostiness on her, I have her running side by side with an SDIX female so its easy to spot the differences.

LurkerDude, again, im sorry for the hermies.
It looks like a nice plant.

Give her a second chance before getting rid of her.

Good luck
