A Strain Seeker's Journey (The Quest For The Ultimate Genetic Library)
I feel like it's time for me to start collecting again ...I am going to start a hunt for unique and rare genetic material to search through and work into strains and hybrids.....My collection has twindled horribly over the last 2 years due to traveling a road that had far to many bumps and curves and my life being out of harmony....
I have some extra space to work in and it's all climate controlled...I plan to put it to good use and will be able to collect and care for quite a few plants on a more permanent basis.. Please any of you out there that have seen special genetics or have heard of something unique floating around please inform me..Especially those rare spicy sativas...Also those kick ass indicas and the "Elites" making the rounds... Those of you in Cali...Anything outstanding in the shops???Tell us?? Feel free to PM me...The hunt is on.......... Post up information and/or questions...We will get a good "clean" discussion going about the good and bad,the pros and cons of these little jewels we call the cannabis plant...... I hope to collect a full range of genetic material to make and collect seeds of these strains and to make hybrids within the genetic population....Early goals are collecting for the long-term.. Live plant and seed... This thread is open for discussing unique/rare genetics and their unique traits... Have at it....Just keep it civil folks......................... ..CC

Hi Capt, didn't know you had made a return but welcome back!
As for your quest, that's a tough one as I have not the vast experience of many others, only tales and legends on which to form my opinion. I say go with whatever floats your boat and knocks our socks off

The Sensi Star95' is both strong and frosty with a great flavor. She veg's slow and doesn't have allot of stretch but grows amazing buds from top to bottom. Right now she's my favorite in a garden full of "elites". Check us out https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=216380

Hey Cap,been awhile good to be here seein you stil Rockin some killer Meds.Cant wait to see what you come up with in your journey to find that special something.Im going to have to grab some of your stuff and give it a run soon,just getting started again.I cant remember what you gave me back in the day,i think it was Abusive/SFV not sure its been a minute.But they started out looking real good and easy to grow,but ended up gettin ripped down and never got to get to the finnished product so cant wait to see what else you have going these days.Peace a

Hey Captain
 As for regions, I would say that there's still much to be discovered in Africa (Liberia, Congo, Kenya, Swaziland) and in Latin America (Brazil, Colombia, Mexico)... This is also homeland for sativas, due to their proximity to the equator. At the last ICMcup there was also a bagseed from NZ doing the rounds. Really nice and tasty sativa. Just some ideas. B |

I'm going to be following this tread closely, I am also always hunting for those "special" plants . I want to mention this new wave of cherry pie / girl scout cookie trend. Is it a fad that will soon be forgotten , or somthing that is worth me going out of my way to track down ?
