Height Expectations - Snowdog, Hashplant2, Danish Cheese...
I've been a little 'under the weather' the last month. But I'm digging into the work of garden prep now, as I have hella lot of plants that can't wait to get their feet set into the ground.
I just tilled up the garden area closest to the house. This garden works best if I can do my best at TIERing the plants based on their mature height expectation... I realize that this will vary depending on pheno. But I'm only guessing at height right now from the 'look' of the plant, and from any photos I've seen here on the forum. If Esbe, or anyone who has grown these strains outdoors can give me an IDEA of mature plant height under fairly optimum growing conditions, I'd appreciate it. Arne's Forgetful Snowdog Hashplant2 Hashplant Danish Cheese And the final HFH strain I'm trying outdoors for 2011 SSSDH (won by highest bid) SSSDH/X -- not only do I want to know how tall HFH SSSDH cross will get, but exactly WHAT are the genetics (is it the same as the SSSDH/arne x Amnesia/arne currently listed for BIN?) Thanks a bunch!

yes sweetie, it is SSSDH/arne x Amnesia/arne and is really interesting for working longer into.
are you growing the clean sssdh outdoor? Arne's Forgetful Snowdog, can grow massive and big Hashplant2, up to 2 meters, often slim Hashplant, up to 2,5 meter, less bushy than hp Danish Cheese, up to 3-4 meters, and wide |

Thanks for that info. Quite TALL they can get! I will be doing some pinching back and training to keep things a bit shorter, as my plants must not be easily visible to neighbors (one of the OMMP grower regulations).

Pure SSSDH? No. Your SSSDH/Arne X Amnesia/Arne, YES! But I just put 6 seeds to soak for 24 hours - SSSDH/arne x Amnesia/arne - hoping to try them outdoors. Thank you for confirming the genetics. I can plant them directly in the ground, OR into 30gallon pots that can be placed under greenhouse roof (open side walls, clear polycarbonate roof). If HFH SSSDH/Arne x Amnesa/Arne will take till late October or into November to finish at my lat - 45-46 north - then I would put them in the large pots so they can go under cover when rains start RATHER then planting them directly in the ground.

Oh yeah... forgot to add that I would guess that your SSSDH/Arne X Amnesia/Arne cross can get rather tall and BIG out under the SUN as well, yes?
Every last one of my Hashplant2 plants - started from seed, and taken as cuttings - Are in flower mode. The 'mothers' are 3 feet (1 meter) tall currently. But my HP2 clones are less than 12 inches and I'm wondering if they'll grow much, with flowers developing now. Might they will revert back to vegetative state? They've been outdoors under the natural sunlight for 14 days. I the HP2 clones size will be stunted due to starting flowers at 8-10 inches tall, I would definitely plant them 'en masse' in an area where they will get good sun and not be shaded by taller plants. Sorry for all the questions this morning (it's morning here in Oregon ~ la la la), but I've got my GREEN thumbs and planting boots on with the next two days FREE to work in the gardens.
