Hello, I would like to know if seeds are legal in Finland? I have heard so before, but I have to be certain since I'm going to buy seeds from a guy in Sweden and he wants to know before he sends them.

Yes they are legal, but take it with a grain of salt, cause they (cops and/or customs) might search your house if they bust em at the border. Not likely, but possible.

The guy said he sent the seeds inside a pen in a recommended letter 20th of may. The letter still hasn't come so I'm starting to get nervous.
But what are the odds that the customs have found 10 seeds inside a pen in a recommended letter? Must be extremely small.
And do they even check letters from inside of EU?

I'm not from Finland, but I know that in other countries any kind of registered mail (not sure, but I assume that "recommended" is a similar concept) is scrutinized more thoroughly at borders. Just so you know for the future.

Sorry I can't help you with your real question though.

I heard that seeds were once returned to a grower after they busted him for weed.

Well that's good news

Asked the guy if he got a tracking number when he sent the letter but he hasn't answered yet. A tracking number would calm me down a lot since then I would be able to clear my house of illegal substances and plants before a search.

I don't want to cause any undue paranoia, but did the package look like it was opened and searched?

A friend of mine bought some seeds from GHS which were sent in a very indiscreet package. They arrived at his place and the cops came knocking 6 weeks later.

This was in a small town, so maybe the pigs didn't have anything better to do than harass him.

Did the cops say they were knocking because of the package? Could have been tipped off another way...

Not sure, but my friend wasn't even growing at the moment. If I remember correctly, the cops just said that he was suspected of growing cannabis and they had a dog with them.

No prior record, and he just moved to this new little town to start school. Pretty sure he kept everything very quiet.
