Last time I was in the Dominican I spent some time in Roseau. That's in the DR right? I've never trusted buying drugs on islands, I've seen and heard of too many people getting busted by cops offering up the goods. Beautiful place though with some lovely cigars. If you enjoy a nice cigar and a beautiful atmosphere then you're in for a good time. Sorry I couldn't be more help about the bud situation down there.

Dude I lived in the Dominican Republic for a year in Santo Domingo I will be hard to get some dope there you might try to keester it but dope there is highly illleagal and you dont want to go to a dominican jail also dont smoke on the streets or In a hotel room cuz someone my smell it and rat you out also alot of cops there dress in plain clothes there so you have to watch who you are around and what you do, also when you get off the plane you my at first go into shock dont worry this will pass it is a very poor country so things will be very diffrent to you if you live it the U.S. , also its leagal to carry a gun there so dont be shocked or scared if you see someone with a gun , dont dress too flashy and dont trust anyone there, like I said its a very poor country and everyone is after money but dont be scared by what you read about the D.R. on the internet I found it to be a very safe place and the cops there will bust a cap in someones ass in a heart beat anyways I hope this help enjoy your self and dont let your wife catch you looking at all the pretty women they have there man I cant wait to go back so I can girl watch lol Peace.

Thanks guys.....well see what happens i guess. Maby ill take the week off from smoking!!!! Oh their will not be any culture shock. Ive gathered seed from all over the islands and even drove the entire island of Jamaica last May.

By the way, being a local and being a tourist....(where their income comes from) are two different things.....i found this to be true on every island ive been too.

More info please.....!!!!

.mmmmm NO!!!

i lived in DR for 11 years. Weed is illegal just like in the US; but PLEASE...it's DR.

you could drink where you want to, you can smoke where you want to. IT's 30 times the free country the USA will ever be.

Yes it's dangerous, if you look like you have money your shit might get snatched, that's about it. Your taxi driver is your hook up to Pussy and anything else you might want. DR has been full of american canadians and Europeans for the last 40 years...I think they're used to the Drill. No different than parts of brooklyn or Manhattan.

Washington heights (aka purple city aka Home of the haze) in NYC is basically 100% dominican and one of the highest areas when it comes to drug ativity, in the country. Hence that Funny ass PIC.

Juaj dolio is a beach resort type thing, close to Santo domingo. Ask the guys who hang out at the beach, you might see people smoking even. You might get approached, if you look the right way (young) you most likely will get approached. But whoever your tour guide type person is- ASK ASK ASK.

Remember, it's not the USA. People are not dried stuck up squares in DR. They're not afraid of everything and don't call the cops for everything like (excuse me) scared white people do here.

(dominican cops are known for not showing up, and they will drink a beer with you in any given corner)

You grab a lady's ass, a slap or a smile is all you get. No lawsuits in DR. Tourists are treated good...specially by women.

DR is HEAVY on drinking though, that will be your biggest hurdle. I used to buy beers at 10 years old. ("highly illegal" too LMAO)

Piecing together various sections of the report prepared by DEA's National Drug Intelligence Center, it is safe to estimate that 20-25% of all cocaine and heroin revenues inside the U.S. are controlled by Dominicans. The smuggling is centered around New York City, Philadelphia and, to a lesser extent, Boston.

Last month FTW documented how approximately two hundred and fifty billion dollars a year in drug money is laundered inside the U.S. It is therefore safe to assume that DTOs (dominican trafficking operations) launder, conservatively, $30 billion a year through the United States. [Figures are not available on Dominican control of marijuana sales in the northeast but credible estimates range as high as fifty per cent]. Using a standard cash multiplier of six, this means that approximately $180 billion in cash transactions take place each year as a result of Dominican drug trafficking in the northeast. How many jobs does $180 billion represent? Remember that in the summer of 1998 The Russian Federation begged for only $18 billion to save its entire national economy.

Paranoid Blunts I Found your post to be mostly 100% Bullshit you say you lived in D.R. for 11 yrs when was this like 20 yrs ago? yes you can drink where you want to but no one smokes weed on the streets as far as being 30 time's more free than the U.S. wrong again you can be pulled over at anytime on the street for no reason this country used to be under a dictator ship and in some ways still is, in fact I was harrased at my hotel just for wearing a bob marley t-shirt, your taxi driver is your hook up wrong again in fact it was my taxi driver that was trying too cheat me the whole time I was there , dominican cops are dont show up cmon the cops in my neighbor hood were everywhere and used to stop by my house everyday just to check on me, the D.R. is heavy on drinking more B.S. (highly illleagal) ? any kid can go to a liquor store and buy a beer or cigs at any age are you sure your talking about the Dominican Republic?
