On Tuesday, April 12, the Joint Committee on the Judiciary voted in favor of Governor's Bill 1014. The committee amended the measure, so that the possession of up to one-half ounce of marijuana will be punished by a civil fine only (the proposal had initially sought to decriminalize up to one ounce of marijuana). You can urge your member of the House and Senate to support this legislation by entering your zip code below. Additional information regarding this hearing is available by contacting: Erik A. Williams, Executive Director, CT NORML, ewilliams@campaignswon.com, 860.805.3243. Link- https://capwiz.com/norml2/issues/alert/?alertid=22593501 |
