Try resizing your pictures before you upload them to this site, by using Irfanview for example. That solves the problem

So, the lighter pic was an experiment. After some reading on the net it seems apple phones have a glitch. When they made it possible to take pics using the “volume up” button, it required the “orientation code” to be moved to a place that is virtually unrecognizable (or gets re-interpreted) to well, the entire internet, except FB (ugh). The work around is to always take pics with the phone landscape, home button to your right and take the pic with the “volume up” button.
