Am I the only person on the planet using General Hydroponics Biosevia (in Bioponics)?
I've been running with this shit for about 6 weeks now. The plant is 1 week into flower and i've never seen such beautiful faultless plants in my life. It really, really does not have 1 single imperfection, and this is only the 6th grow i've ever done.
Biosevia is General hydroponics Organic nutrient range for use in hydroponics. It works on the same prinicpal Bioponic's only it's ready to go, no preparation of the system is needed. You just start with a tank full of nutes, add the Trichoderma H to the media in the pot or biofilter, and hey presto, Bioponic's! The fan leaves are humongous, largest one on the plant has a middle leaf segment 14'' long! The growth rates in Fytocell with Biosevia are out of this world, it's practically as quick as using mineral hydroponic nutrients now its dialled in. The stem is thick, and I mean thick! It's nearly twice the width of the two soil plants growing side by side. Nice thick branches too. Taste testes are in favour of Biosevia on all fronts. Anyway, I thought I'd start this thread up for people to discuss what they are doing with Biosevia, what yeild's they are getting and their overall opinion of the product range. I'm running mine in a dripped fed 12 litre Hempy bucket, filled 100% with Fytocell. And yeah, as you may have guessed, overall I'm pretty much amazed and in love with this innovation. Up to now it seems a doddle! The Fytocell makes an idyllic habitat for the beneficial microbes to break down the partially digested organic matter in the nutritive solution. The fact that the plants are growing inside the 12 Litre Biofilter makes the access to the broken down irons all the more instantly available. Its awesome and I'd really recommend it for any intermediate grower, maybe even a newbie could handle it, as long as they buy an EC meter and keep the EC between 0.8 and 1.0. ...budrot... Yeah, I'll try and get some up tomorrow. I've not been on this site long, I'm not down with the security info etc.
The girls are sleeping at the moment anyway. I have two soil plants in the same room as this system had never been done before (from what i've gathered), and I didn't want to end up with no bud. Now I wish I had the other two plants in a dripper fed hempy bucket. It pisses all over them. She looks so lush and juicy green, its a real shiny and lucid green, more like sea weed than bud weed. Imagine plants growing by a river etc or pond plants. They get dripper run 8 x 15 min's a day, I have a fluming pump on the floor of a 18 litre res and the tray with the plants sit on top of the tray. A hole in the tray for the dripper lines and hempy drainage return pipe keeps it all self contained within the tray so it should, in theory, never leak. Its amazing, in Fytocell they can never ever ever possibly be over-watered. fytocell holds up t0 60% water and always at least 37% air, even if its saturated and forcibly submerged it still holds 37% air. The drippers are constantly bringing in freshly flumed (aerated) nutrient solution and they lady is absolutely loving it. I think it's outstanding, when I took the challenge up I thought that it was going to be really hard and that there was quite a high chance of failing, but up till now I just can't believe it! The plant looks bullet proof, really so so healthy and growing so quick now i've sussed it out. |

hello mate,
No, I have not changed the res yet and I do not see any reason too. I might be wrong but its been going for about 5 weeks now and the plant is just getting bigger and greener by the minute. I add a few litres of tap water every day, a few drops of the nute. The feeding chart from GHe doesn't show any indication to dump the res, neither do the instructions. Its a win win win situation, with a little more winning again. I'll get some pictures up soon. I'm not aware of where the server is on this forum or how security is dealt with. |

GH said they have an agreement not to sell this line in the states. Do you have the biofiltre with the stars and how clear is your res water?

Why would GH do that dude?
I do have a small Aquarium Biofilter in the res, I use this to flume the res also, and the pot (bucket) that the plant grows in is one big 12 litre biofilter. The filter in the res doesn't really do anything, 90% + of all the biofiltration is done in the plants bucket, that's why it works so well I guess. The roots habitat is the ideal place for them, its being constantly cleaned and kept healthy by the filtration and the food source is instant, the benefical's make it on the spot literally where the roots are, the cation exchange rate goes through the roof. The Fytocell is the ideal nesting place for the beneficial microbes to live. GH Stars are just media for a fish tank aquarium, the fish shops have much better media to use, the stuff in my res filter is the top German aquarium biofilter media, recommended by the guy in the fish shop. The water is not clear, its like iodine coloured, doesn't smell though. I know there is shit loads of benefical's in the bucket as when the run off comes back into the tank I can feel a slickness to it that indicates this is the case. It just seems so good and so logical and she's so bloody healthy I find it hard to believe it is so myself !! |
