Jamaican Decriminalization of Ganja
The Jamaican government is debating the decriminalization of Cannabis. They understand that decriminalization will cut crime, cost of government and boost tourism. The only thing holding them back is the possible loss of millions of dollars in anti drug money from the US.
Just how much money is spent each year by the US to foreign countries to support our war on drugs. I don't think it can be counted because the money comes from so many different agencies and organizations both over and under the table. But I can assure you that if the bribes were stopped that we would not have to take money from the elderly, sick and working people in this country to reduce the budget deficit. Our war on drugs affects every country and human on the planet. And the working people and the poor in the US are paying the bills. |

Your point about the money is right on. It's a damn shame these asshat politicians who are so bent on reducing the deficit don't have the sense to put a stop to this wasteful spending. But what can you expect from people whose true intentions are to feather their own nest.
