Flame Guard Paint Additive

Has anyone else used this in their rooms? I bought some over a year ago when I was fireproofing my cabinet. Since my cab was so small, a little went pretty far for me. Just curious to see if anyone else is using it and if so, has it worked for anyone. Seems like a cheap way to add a little extra fire protection to you room, especially if you paint it with flat white paint for reflection like i did at the time.

Flame Guard
Flame Spread Paint Additive

fire retardant protection for all paint Protect Your Property and Family

Flame Guard is an approved class "A"or "B" flame spread paint additive treatment that makes paint form a burn-resistant surface insulating the substrate from the flame, thus slowing flame spread.

Fire resistant Flame Guard, when used as directed, reduces the flame spread rate of combustible materials typical construction. Once added to interior ( flat only ) latex paint, Flame Guard does not adversely affect the color, spread rate, or curing time of the paint or coating.
Flame Guard is a cost effective solution for providing a burn-resistant, insulating surface.
Benefits - Features:

* Granular, easy-to mix form
* Lasts as long as the paint
* Economical - easy to use
* Works in inexpensive, low grade Interior Flat Latex Paint only!!

PLEASE NOTE: As mentioned above, and repeatedly, the Flame Guard can NOT be mixed into any type of product other than low grade Interior Flat Latex Paint.
There is no need to call or email with questions such as:
"But can I mix it into oil paint?"
"Can I use it with a satin finish?"
"What about in deck stain?"
The answer to these...and all other questions is.....NO!

Low grade Interior Flat Paint ONLY!

i have dealt with this company years ago and they make additives for paint also but they have many different products to protect materials like fabric, open/closed cell foam and wood.

If you are doubtful you can go for flame retardant additives. I have used it and satisfied with the product.
