Seriously guys i feel that we are looking the escence of this webpage...

As i said i feel like if i was in a very nice contry club with a pool and birds and all, and you could chill and hear the nature, and it got converted into a refugee camp. But now i feel like not only that they desciding to move the war barracks and the training camps into this club.

So you understand me better, its like when they want to remove your local park, and they are doing that to build a business building...

I dont have anything against the Ogers or CWers, its just starting to bother me that they come into our house, and they want to make all their changes, keep their chain of command, and i dont know what other crazy ideas they have in mind...

I believe.....and correct me if I'm wrong....it was the admins and mods from your site here that setup the "camp" on your lawn for the influx of members from the downed sites so that they would have a place to come to. So if there is a beef with the way things are going then that beef needs to be addressed to them

This is hard for everyone.
Gypsy is the Head and is working to try and get everyone as happy as possible,
But that will take time. Im sure that Gypsy and Old Pink and Ohters Know Many Mods from OG and CW who are trusty and will get postions here.

I understand Marimbas concern. It's not that the Camp is here... but now that it is here, many of them want to turn it into OverGrow.

All we can do is wait and let things settle down, the OGers are looking for lost connections. We need to be understanding of this.
It's a mess like Christmas when I was a kid... all the card tables out, everyone bummping into each other.

But we aren't OverGrow, and don't want to be.

addressing the MOD situation:
take into account that some of your mods here were also mods and admin over at OG .....oldpink, Krypto, Gunns etc etc.....I'm sure that probably goes for CW as well although I can't be sure since I didn't frequent their boards......so it's not like there's suddenly new command trying to "take over" here....it's pretty much the same command really *lol* and I don't think they're trying to get positions really......hell, I wouldn't expect they'd be offered positions unless the newly elevated population requires a higher level of moderation.....otherwise why on earth would they assume to suddenly be given MOD positions here? That'd be mighty presumptuous...

anyway........we'll/they'll be happy over at the kiddie table till we/they get used to the layout and the rest of the place gets used to us/them

I keep doing that us/them thing cause I've kind been here for a while but keep screwing up my handles *lol* plus haven't really posted a whole hell of alot. :smile:

We come in peace. Yes, we lost our bars, all of our photographs, and esteem, but we mainly want to keep in contact with friends. Like all forums, OG was full of maniacs and kids, but many of us are thoughtful and cool and kind.

Perhaps our big messy forum will come alive again. Forgive us until it does if you can.

i agree...

if you select "Forum Menu" towards the top of the page, and then select "Forum Leaders", you will see who's who...the only 'new' thing i see is "Admin Test, and "Toker"...

yeah, it will take a while, and it will take some getting used to...

i was welcomed here when i joined, why shouldn't anyone else be welcomed when they join???

how about nominating some pictures for photo of the month? or digging up a favorite quote? or go into the chat room if you have 50+ posts?...

or you could turn the computer off and make lunch like i'm going to do.

in no way am i saying i dont want new people to join, i do agree im glad to see informative great people join the site.

What i believe mari was trying to point out, and what i dont like seeing, is a mass of people joining our site and trying to change it to the site they are used to.

I feel like as if i was living with my family in a nice big house with some extra room. And the the 2 families down the street were kicked out of thier house. So we invited them in, but they want to just put up thier old curtains, fill the fridge with their food and bring in all their furnature and set it up as if it were their old house. Wich would be understandable doing in the room they are offered, but not the whole house.

Now on that note i dont want to say im not open for suggestions, wich there have been threads opened for making them in. But ive seen threads just being opened left and right whens theres clearly places for them. And many multi-threads being opened making it a mess, when if a search button were used it the thread could have been avoided altogether.
