DigDuggreen, take a look around these forums and you will find that coco in smart pot type containers is a pretty common method. Straight coco works well in these setups. No need for the hydroton in the bottom of the bags, just need to set your flood times correctly.

Its the method I use-a nice fairly low maintanence system, have a look:

thats beautiful.... I have that same tray ill be putting back into the works in about 4 weeks, im experimenting with an UCDWC system right now and when those plants are 4 weeks in ill start up my ebb n flow table again with coco for sure. give the plants a little time to come up a bit then I can harvest every 5 weeks or so.

Photo update. Here are the DSD V2 and Limon IX @ day 18 of veg. Currently feeding @ ~400ppm (0.5 scale) @ pH 5.8-5.9. All were topped and appear to have excellent vigor.

Zep, you sure have an eye for selection! Brother is very, very impressed so far. Definitely going to need to try more Swan Song offerings!
