Brother grows Double Strawberry Diesel V2 & Limon IX

Hey guys,

I'll be logging a grow of Zep's Double Strawberry Diesel V2 and Limon IX.

5 DSD and 5 Limon IX were put in paper towels ~ 3 days ago. All cracked & showed tails after ~24-36 hrs, and then went into straight coco. So far 5/5 DSD and 0/5 Limon IX are up/out....shouldn't be long for the Limon, just taking their sweet time.

These will be vegged under a 400W MH and flowered under a 600W HPS, all in coco. Veg will last ~50-55 days and flower till the end, guessing ~70-75 days.

Nutes used will be Cutting Edge Micro/Bloom, little Cal-Mag, Koolbloom (liquid & powder), an enzyme (likely Multizyme), Roots Excel (in veg/very early flower), and Floralicious Plus. Might hand feed some Bountea Bloom tea in flower if I'm really feeling freaky.

Really excited for both, but particularly about the Limon. Chitral Kush has been a strain of great interest for me and with the combo of Double Sour Diesel there have to be some real gems here.

Double Strawberry Diesel V2

Group Shot - DSD V2 and Limon IX. Also Sour Diesel IBL, Snowdog x ChemSour, and LemChem.

That's it for now. Update when the Limon come up and things get going.

Thanks for stopping by Milhouse! I'm really excited about both, but the Limon has me really peaked too. Chitral kush + Double Sour Diesel....

Thanks Hiker! The tray is the table for a small ebb & flow system, just need to get coco sleeves for the net pots. Hand watering for a few more days, then things will really start moving.

Looking good, cant wait to see your stuff in action. Are those 3" net pots packed with coco? interesting approach, im kinda over the whole rock wool thing, I was reading an aritcle i High times today the guy was using 80% coco and 20% perlite in smart pots with an inch or two of hydroton at the bottom of each bag, on a flood table, I think I want to try that with my santa cruz og, good strain for sog. may as well get some use out of my 3x3 table I just took out. I figure in 4 weeks ill start that up, gives me time to veg and to create the space and equipment. It wont take much, another reflector, and one of those deals that switch lights of the same ballast, and that would be about it.

Looks like there's going to be a lot of DSDv2 growing around here. Got some going as well. That Limon has my eye too, brotherindica.

Really interested to see more details of your setup.

DigDuggreen, take a look around these forums and you will find that coco in smart pot type containers is a pretty common method. Straight coco works well in these setups. No need for the hydroton in the bottom of the bags, just need to set your flood times correctly.

Its the method I use-a nice fairly low maintanence system, have a look:

Thanks for stopping by Dig! Yup 3" net pots w/coco, using woven coco sleeves very shortly so I can start flooding the table without coco running everywhere. I've ran a similar soiless mix, half Sunshine #4/half Royal Gold Tupur with ~1" hydroton in the bottom of smart pots....didn't really see it anywhere, more of an experiment. Didn't notice any benefits with the hydroton, but the coco/soiless mix worked very well. More watering than SS #4, less than Tupur, and sped up growth vs normal SS #4. Really nice for hand watering, but held too much water for routine watering.

Pure coco, in smart pots, on an ebb & flow table should do you very well. Your OG will love it, have a WhitFire OG really LOVING that set up.

Hey Amber! Nice garden! Looks similar to mine.

Yeah, with the lengendary status of Orginal Strawberry Diesel I'm sure DSD is going to be a popular ticket.

Here is a pic of the setup these girls will be going to when ready. 4 plants, 2 gal smart pots, 3x3 space, 2x2 table.

Last day veg
