hey everyone. figured it was about that time to make a thread here in the soil section. Im back to growin in dirt again, where Im most comfortable. in my new digz...hydrohut 4x8 silver tent, 2000w air cooled, 3 gal smart pots (next round 5-7 gal) w FF Happy Frog soil (next round SS#4) + big n chunky perlite, AN nutes.

strains currently in the tent...12 ladies total...

Killa Watt ...x2
Bubba Dutch SSH ...4x
ECSD ...3x
Jackie-O ...2x
PK (LVPK?) ...1x

Im currently on day 39 of 12/12...these plants are lookin and smellin great, very frosty so far. been able to go alittle heavier on the nutes with no burn really at all. lots of bennies in the soil and watered in. any speckles on the leaves are just shiny spots from take down garden spray a few weeks back as preventative, not burn or bugs.

everythings been good so far, knock on wood. gonna bring these ladies to about 75-78 days. wish me luck! Ill keep this thread well updated.

last but not least...some shots of the PK, possibly LVPK...passed to me from a buddy, who grew her from a bag seed of PK from Cali. only time will tell...looks ALOT like the LVPK to me tho.

also a few shots from my veg area, my next round of freshly planted, rooted cuts, a headband mom, and some headband cuts fresh in the dome.

these pics from the veg area are a few days old, the babies are doubled in size since I been sprayin the VHO..that shit is killer.

8 in Vortex for the lights, 6 in active air for the filter. I have a 10 inch maxfan lyin around here too, too much suction in the tent tho, too powerful for it.

next round will be some magnum XXXL 8 inch reflectors to go w the Vortex. still trying to figure how Im gonna really set this tent up...this first run was just slapped together. actually one of those hoods is an old SS large horizontal w the 4 inch flange...my buddy and I cut 6 inch holes on it and put on some 6 in air cooled fittings lol. I cant believe how well it works. w the lights on all day, it never reaches 80.

Looks awesome. Do you defoliate? What is your training style.

The plants in the back, and especially the one in the bottom left, they have a very nice christmas tree appearance with a bunch of nice nugs everywhere, seems very efficient to me- I'm wondering if you attribute this to the particular strains or if technique plays a big part as well. How long did you veg for?

thanks leroy, it is very efficient. thats the BDSSH. she barely stretches in bloom...thats just the way she grows, out, not up...needs alot of room for the roots tho, those 3 gal smart pots got filled too quick, I shoulda repotted those. o well, next run Ill probly use 7 gal smart pots with a longer veg. I have half the mind to run all BDSSH. great yielder.
