Thanks! It is a beautiful expression of flo. I just sampled some immature buds that had partially dried.... the flavor and high are both exceptional already. I'm really going to be happy to isolate this more....

observations on scent to flavor transition
I read somewhere that flo has a good scent to flavor transition, and I truly believe this to be true. The hawaiian plant that I sampled yesterday, which may increase in flavor with curing, did not represent the AMMAZING aroma it possesses at all. The flo sample, though not even dry, was a rich and distinct taste experience.... just and observation and another point of selection criteria.

Not a lot to report other than they thrive... Bummed that only 3 Barras made it, but that might be enough to replicate their vital essence. They're the ones in the back with the plastic tags. They look superficially identical to the Bright Flos so far. Here's the pups:

BEAUTIFUL! Those little ones look great! the fat leaves will change as they grow up and older. The growth on my seedlings was moderately vigorous, early on, then they kind of stabilize and then grow in spurts. Just be mindful of keeping their roots in optimum container sizes. They really don't want to be bound too much if you want plants that will reach their full potential expression. Also! They stretch in flowering quite a bit! Any way, just rambling... Thanks for the update!

Congratulations
The fat and roundness of those leaves remind me of cocoa kush(not that it's an indica thing)fwiw -I'm really excited to run that unique flo strain, when the time comes! It will be cool when I can get bm's opinion of my beloved, not coveted(hoarded) crimson kalimost line. -when the time comes -I'm not saying I want u to crack seeds any time soon,..just voicing my eagerness to get outside opinions on it![]() I have some pure originals on tap for harvest this fall btw,...so that I can see what differences I get between the originals(f1), and the f3's I've worked with thus far. CHAPPIE, ...I'm a tad surprised that the BRO germ rate has been a bit low for a handful of peeps. But, as u know, I'm not questioning methodology, just saying I noticed this with 4-5 ppl so far. I tell ya Chappie, I cringed when DJ bragged(or commented rather), that he will often hand crack seeds. But, this year I have had great success ratios by finger popping the seeds at the tip. And I wish I took up this method long ago, but whatever ![]() ...Its cool to do after like the 4th day in the paper towel, ...I just squeeze the seed end between my 2 finger nails til I hear a loud pop/crack. Then I just clean the shell in dilute 3 percent water/peroxide, and then put back in a new paper towel,...and the net day....I had all germed and healthy. Now, I can confidently germ almost any seed...even those which were harvested 2 weeks prior. So, I have a bit of glee over this epiphany of germing multiple generations up to 3x's a year( perhaps,-if need be) I've gotta run, but..man oh man....rose flo looks like the deal...more and more each day wow!!!

I'm contemplating male selection based on flower structure. It seems like my select female in this generation has medium/long stretch and very tight marble or rock-like bud structure. The super tight marble-like buds were lso a characteristic of the mother of this whole generation. So far, my pollen donors have been a sweet and resinous reverse hermie and a stretchy and beautifully scented true male, who's flower structure is not particularly tight, but doesn't really run either. I have a few males out there with the really tight marble-like bud structures along with a sativa like stretch. In the initial selection process I disregarded those plants as having too much "indica" influence, but i think i may have been missing the boat. Like and like makes like!
I've got a few cuttings of the select female and i also hope to reveg her, so hopefully there will be some time to narrow things down.
